What are some misconceptions about your religion?

I am religious but I don't try to convert people, (in fact people that do try to convert are pretty annoying) But have you ever considered that they believe that they are trying to help you out?

See that's the problem, I know for a fact that you're right. I can quite easily see that many people who are out to convert others get great happiness from their faith, and just want to share that with others. The problem I have is that some of them don't respect your opinions. I may not believe in a God, but what I do believe is just as important to me as religion is to others. As I said I'm pretty firm in my belief that this life is all I'm gonna get, with that in mind I'd rather not use my limited time on religion.

I see what you mean. Yeah I know what kind of people you are talking about. The best thing is to do what you do, Let them have their say, then say your not interested.

I hate people think all Christians are bible crazed and can't accept othe religions as valid.

The biggest modern religious prejudice IMO is that fundamental Christians are insane. Also, to throw this ut there, MICROevolution has been unshakingly proven(breeds of dogs, birds, etc., like Darwin originally observed), but MACROevolution is a theory that the fossil record supports only inasmuch as the belief that if two things LOOK similar they HAD to come from the same lineage. Also, continuing my slightly OT rant, there was an experiment to recreate the primordial conditions that created the first crude proteins that may have been the start of life. They did succeed in creating a protein compound. That compound was formaldehyde, a preservative toxin that KILLS microorganisms.

False in almost every respect. Well done on breaking that misconception there.
