What are some of your favorite recipes?

One of mine is BarbQ Rolled Meatloaf. And Turkey in the Hole.

BarBQ Rolled Meatloaf is made where you take the normal way you prepare meatloaf, but before cooking you roll it flat, then cover the meatloaf with Cheddar Cheese, you then layer Onions, Green and Red Peppers, Celery, then the BarBQ sauce of your preference. After this you roll the entire thing up and put it in the oven to cook, doing this causes the ingredients to seep through the meat and makes a delicious meal.

Turkey in the Hole is generally a thanksgiving feast we have at a place in Bald Eagle, Pennsylvania. We dig a hole and then take about 6 whole turkeys, stuff them with ice (This causes it to slowly melt while cooking, making it so none of the meat is too dry) then wrap them in layers of tinfoil with a hook to pull it out. we then put the turkeys in the hole and place 8 inch thick green logs over the hole, and build a bonfire over it, as it burns the green logs eventually burn up and all the red coals drop into the hole and cook the chicken for about a day and a half, when you eat it it is absolutely delicious :D

What about you?

I know one. my uncle's favorite sandwich.

A marshmallow and banana nutella toasted sandwich!

1. First you get two slices of bread.
2. Butter them both.
3. Put some damn nutella in there...put enough for your liking.
4. Mash some banana in there.
5. And put marshmallows in the middles.
6. Then toast, and there you go an awesome dessert/Breakfast sandwich. :D

Also you can change the spread to your liking.

Yeah it is. I like to have it sometime. But you need a big sandwich toaster to toast it to your taste, If the toaster is small all the marshmallow and stuff will come out and it will be a waste.

Sometime I wanna grab a big toaster and put a WHOLE load of the stuff in there. Also I wanna try it with Marshmallow spread but we can't get that stuff in Australia. D:

I like the sound of yours too, I must keep this topic on favorites.

Vegetarian Borscht.

Not the sort of thing you'll find on a lot of recipe sites, but a fairly authentic reproduction of my original хозяйка's борщ. Forget the madeleines in A La Recherche du Temps Perdus, this recipe transports me straight back to a grotty little Krushchev-era flat which I really enjoyed living in, and looking out at the Gulf of Finland in the middle of a snowstorm, warmed by this soup.

Damn tasty, filling, and best enjoyed with a wine-glass of decent straight-out-of-the-freezer vodka.

------------------------------------------------------------------

Righto, get yourself (roughly; I tend to do it by eye),
Olive/Vegetable oil.
A large onion.
A couple of fair-sized carrots.
4-6 Beetroot (I use the pre-cooked ones, just because they're easier to locate)
About half a large white cabbage. (Savoy doesn't really work.)
Red wine vinegar.
Lemon Juice.

Dice the carrots, onions, and beetroot to roughly 1cm cubes, apart from the carrot and cabbage, which ought to be into thick strips about 3-5cm long.

Whack everything (apart from the cabbage) into a frying pan with plenty of olive oil, and let it soften the vegetables for about ten-fifteen minutes.
That almost done, bring the kettle to the boil, put a couple of stock cubes in the bottom of a soup pan, and add roughly a litre of water, (Though obviously you can add more later) medium heat on the hob, and whack the cabbage in there for five-ten minutes.

That done, add the veg from the frying pan, two tablespoons of red wine vinegar, and nearly half a lemon's juice, put a lid on, and leave it for half an hour or more on a simmer, adding more water if the vegetables are noticeably protruding from the top. This is a fairly watery soup, and if you add too much, take the lid off and let a bit boil off.

In terms of serving, garnish with dill (compulsory) to taste and sour cream, (optional) similarly. But more than a heaped tablespoon is overdoing it a bit. A bit of proper black bread, or if you can't get that, toasted wholemeal, on the side.

This'll sort out about four portions. To bulk it out, just use the remaining cabbage. I've noticed that it improves slightly as leftovers, but perhaps that's just me linking the pleasure and thriftiness centres of my brain.

What was I saying? Oh yes.

Enjoy.

Well I have the cooking talent of a 2 year-old lemur, and am a student, so most of my favourite recipes involve a microwave and a ready-meal.
However I can make a mean chilli-con-carne when I have the spare time.

Caramelise some onions in a wok
Add a packet of mince and brown it
Chuck in some peppers
Add your kidney beans
Add some mushed up tomatoes
Add chillies/chilli powder to taste

At least, I think that's all you need?
Did I mention I was a terrible cook?

Scotch Eggs i love.. boil some eggs.. then leave to cool in the fridge... encase in a good sausage mince.. you can add any flavouring to the mince you want.... sauces and stuff.. then let sit and set.. then roll in flavoured breadcrumbs (or just plain if youre lazy) add cheese and herbs.. it works a treat.. then after another set in the fridge.. shallow fry in a pan until cooked.. a lovely dish hot or cold :D

Pizza is a recipe....

One of my favourite things when cooking is to make some pasta, mushrooms, some form of meat like chicken/turkey, and cook it all in the usual way. In the last two minutes drop a couple of eggs into the drained pasta (with everything else mixed in) and stir them about. Depending on the quantity of pasta you can just turn the hob off & it'll cook from the heat already there.

Pizza rolls.

Take Totino's Pepperoni Pizza rolls out of the freezer.
Preheat oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit.
Place pizza rolls on a baking tray.
Throw that shit in the oven for 10 minutes.
Let cool.
Enjoy.

Serves: They're mine, go make your own!

Not really a recipe, but have you ever tried stirring in a teaspoon of honey dijon mustard with beaten eggs before you cook them? It's freaking amazing.

Hobo Stew: by Mike Whatahovich from the band Ascent to the Absolute from the cookbook, Mosh Potatoes. Best cookbook ever.

6 medium potatoes
1 large onion
6 hot dogs
salt and black pepper

Chop up the onions and potatoes. Fry them up in a bit of canola until they are done to your liking. Add sliced hot dogs. Cook until the skinless edges of the dogs start to crisp. Take off heat. Add salt and pepper to your liking. Win. \m/
