I don't mind being around smokers in general but, I try to not date smokers. Things that are straight-up turn offs for me are high heels [only man in the world who hates them] and tongue rings/studs...lets just say they get in the way and can be really uncomfortable. I'm not a fan of the missionary types of people meaning; think-how-I-think-or-I'll-think-little-of-you but, I am pretty sure those people are generally disliked.

Smoking. It's disgusting, and a nasty habit. I've never kissed a smoker, but I can't imagine it is too pleasant.

stupidity.

I cant stand stupid people.
Give me a doctor, or a scientist.
What about a humble musician with a good head on her shoulders and a love for star-gazing?

Poor grammar would be one.

Also those chicks that wear sweatpants and pajamas-type clothing into public

Seriously? You can't bother to look like you didn't just roll out of bed?
Double-negative, aahaa! *grin* I'm kidding. Anyway, I agree with you; in terms of women, I can't stand those stupid, baggy track pants and pajama pants in public. It makes you look lazy. Mmm, attractive! I also agree with the poor grammar, but that's for both sexes. Sloppy speech and writing are massive pet peeves of mine, and can be quite the turn-off, should it prove to be more than just laziness.

Illogical women! Sometimes it's a good base for some pure creative thinking, but when reasoning does a somersault out the window I'm leaving.

Also, the kind of social incompetence that was mentioned earlier. I was having a horrible day at a convention around New Year and a girl grabbed me by the arm and wanted to go have some kind of flirtatious quality time with me. She's good looking but I feel no connection with her, and my body language was practically screaming "Leave me the f*ck alone or i'm bitin'!". God, what a f*cking turn-off that is.

Oh, and polished, carefully manicured fingernails. I KNOW it's supposed to be a good thing, but I can barely look at it. Those glossy, perfectly shaped claws tell me that this girl is, quite literally, unwilling to get her hands dirty and as such unable to cope with down-to-earth living.

Excluding random letters from text messages. Texting itself can get on my nerves a bit, and when someone can't put in the .5 seconds of effort to say "what are you doing?" as opposed to "wat r u doin?" i just put down my phone and stop talking to them. Christ, its obnoxious.....if you want to invest the time and effort to have a conversation with me, go all the way and talk like a literate human being, not some elementary school dropout whose main aspiration life is being a rap star's concubine. I can understand forgetting a letter(i just spelled understand undestand) or not using punctuation when texting(its really annoying to find the apostrophe via the symbol button) but come on now....

1. Curly hair. No matter how hot someone is, if they curl their hair I instantly lose all interest.

2. Red clothing. No idea why and I even own two red shirts myself. Although I recently found out my long-dead grandfather forbade my grandmother from ever wearing red, so maybe it's genetic.

I have a lot of turn-offs. Not all of them are straight up deal breakers, but some I just can't take. Oddly enough, some I can tolerate from some girls, but not others.

Cigarette smoking
- I respect your right to choose and will not think less of you as a person, but your scent and flavor are unappealing to me. Deal breaker except in certain very rare cases, but you aren't smoking that in my house.
Abuse of any drug other than marijuana
- Most notably crack, meth, or prescription meds. Way too much of that where I am. You wanna TRY something that isn't one of those three, fine... but nothing even close to a habit. That is a deal breaker.
Excessive or unruly drunk
- Are you a rampaging ***** when you drink? Move along, If I want that shit I'll go visit my mom.
Piercings
- I can tolerate a nose ring or navel piercing on some girls, but anything else and you better you better be very attractive and have a fantastic personality to make up for it. Pierced nipples or genitalia are a deal breaker, as are those big discs in the earlobes... ugh.
Tattoos
- This goes on an individual basis, since to exclude all girls with tattoos would be hypocritical of me. It just depends on the girl, the tattoo, and the placement. Girls covered in a lot of ink usually isn't my thing but I have seen some rare exceptions where a girl pulls it off and it looks really good.
Insecurity
- Do you need constant reassurance of your attractiveness or my feelings for you? Do you constantly fish for compliments and get pissy when I don't take the bait? Can you not express an opinion for fear that I might not agree? If so, move along. If we are together, I am attracted to you; if I am attracted to you, you will hear it. Deal breaker.
Text Nazi
- Do you freak out if I don't respond to your text or return your call within a few minutes? Maybe I'm already on the phone, maybe I'm talking to someone in person, maybe I'm taking a dump, maybe I'm trying to squeeze one out and a telephone conversation would really kill the mood... Point is, I'm busy. Deal breaker.
Excessive negativity
- Some people do nothing but complain about everything around them and badmouth others. We all have problems, but they shouldn't always be the main focus of our daily lives or conversations. Deal breaker.
Ignorance/Stupidity
- You don't have to be a molecular biologist, but we are going to have to have conversations and they can't all be about shoes and what "that ***** at work" had the nerve to say.
Materialism
- Just because I treat you like a queen, doesn't mean you can act like a princess.
Obesity
- A little meat on your bones is fine, even attractive as it can add some nice curves, but if you are grossly overweight you probably aren't my type.
Religious zealot
- I was agnostic for 25 years but have come to believe in a higher power, the nature of which I have not quite worked out. You may believe whatever you choose, but don't beat me over the head with your respective scripture, or lack thereof. I will, of course, treat you with the same respect. Scientology, however, is a deal breaker.
Thick southern accent
- Someone else said this, and I totally understand. That country, Tennessee/Georgia drawl drives me nuts. This really sucks for me considering my location. Most foreign accents, however, are a major turn on.

Those are the ones I can think of off the top of my head. I consider myself really picky in some regards, and I see nothing wrong with that. I know I have multiple traits that would be turn offs to some, and respect everyone's right to be choosy about who they are with. A really good personality and sense of humor will go a very long way with me toward making up for other shortcomings.

I have quite a few. One of my main ones is shoes. It really puts me off if a girl does not wear sensible shoes. I don't particularly like high heels or those stupid slippers I see them wearing.

I have a lot of others so if anyone is interested I'l put the full list.
I'm interested. Does your list happen to include when girls wear pajama pants in public?
Ok, here we go:
Shoes - see above
Girls who dress "Tarty"
Smoking, although not as much as the others
Girls who can't throw properly
Being Career centric
The popular girl who knows everyone
Interrupting me when I'm speaking, I am dyslexic and it completely destroys my train of thought
Has to be able to tell when to leave me alone to think
Clingy
Being religious puts me off, but if they don't go on about it or try to convert me I can live with it
Constant texting. It's often quite unlikely I will respond to texts the same day, so if you overload me it won't be the same week
Voice raising. If you start shouting at me, I'm outa here.

That's it for now, I might add more if I think of them.

50% more make-up than is necessary, smoking (that's an insta-kill for my interest), lip or eyebrow piercings. I would say not liking the same music as me, but seriously, how many people nowadays do you find who like the Moody Blues?

EDIT: I refuse to date anyone who can't carry on an intelligent conversation.
EDIT 2: Tounge piercings are not my thing.

Girls that put so much fake-tan and foundation on that they look orange.

And smoking.

Overweight: A little bit is ok I suppose if its made up for in other criteria.
Smoking: Complete dealbreaker.
Tattoos: Usually a dealbreaker.
Stupidity: If I have to explain my jokes to you then it would never work.

'Dirty Talk'.
I don't mind profanity, fuck no, but I really don't enjoy when people 'talk dirty' during sex.
It just feels so forced and it's such a violation of character.
I don't get why people like it.

Lets see:

Smoker: Just no thanks. Sometimes i want to slap myself in the face for this one because why do you beautiful girls smoke! WHY!? I can forgive it if they at least take good care of thier dental hygene.

Drugs: No forgiveness for this one, could be the most beautiful girl i ever saw in my life, she could be all over me but i'd turn her down.

Chew: Vomit.

Slutty: It just makes me feel sad and like i've failed as a human when i see a girl putting her self out there. Even I try to have class.

Dumb: Forgiven if just makes you cuter.

Really tall: Sorry just not my style i like the petite girls, but dont feel bad alot of guys are all about a gal with some height.

Big feet: Yea... odd one but yea, i never thought feet mattered to me. Then i started looking. then it did.

Chest Hair: Haha just kidding never seen a girl with chest hair.

The Tease: Now teasing is ok, but its the girls who like to flirt jsut to fuck with guys heads. I swear, i used to be a standup guy then i had a few girls in a row basically let me know they were just fucking with me. It really warped me and now im the douchebag you see today.

for me a massive turn off is someone who you cant hold a decent conversation with.. like.. i want to chat to my boyfriend and have it flowing freely... not stopping and starting every other minute like some car in a traffic jam :p
