I was going to make a thread discussing turn-ons too, but decided against it because it might have veered a little too far in a direction perhaps not looked too kindly upon on this forum, if you know what I mean.

So, yeah, I was having lunch earlier and spotted a cute girl sitting across from me on a bench reading some notes when I noticed a can of Red Bull she was drinking. In my mind, Red Bull = awful artificial sweet taste and is pretty much an immediate turn-off. That was the inspiration for this thread though.

Please post something that you think is peculiar to yourself and is not all that common. If every other post in this thread is "bad teeth" or "body odor", I will be disappointed in you lot, Escapists.

Smoking.

I'm normally quite casual with who I would date, but smoking is a huge turn off.

Sorry - can't think of anything too original right now. :l

Facial piercings, especially the nose. It looks horrible and is a pretty clear indication of how much someone respects (or lack thereof) their body.

Large breasts, for one.

Another being showing a lot of skin. A third one is most certainly not enjoying the same sort of music as me (There are unfortunately rather few girls these days who would pick Iron Maiden over whatever shit's on the radio these days).

Well mostly girls with a really heavy...I guess Texan or country accent.
"AY YAWLL..."
That's really the only thing that comes to mind.
Oh wait and girls that put on a ton of make up.

Having a can of Red Bull turned you off from her? Wow that's pretty petty.

For me a turn-off would be them not always being a women.

This.

And not liking art or music, or having annoying opinions on art or music. I mean, I don't expect everybody to have the same exact tastes as me, but we should at least have one band in common :D. Thankfully I love nearly every type of music out there, so that usually isn't a problem.

I can understand piercings being a turn off for people, but not having respect for their body?

There are way more harmful things we do to our bodies on a regular basis then piercings, and we consider that normal. An example would be consuming high fructose corn syrup :D. I'm sure we're all guilty of it.

Not being a woman? That's pretty petty too, lol. I'm betting a weekend in Bangkok could change your mind. Or scar you permanently.

Seriously though, I hate the taste of Red Bull. That and every other energy drink out there. If you want caffeine + bad breath, might as well go for something that actually tastes good like coffee. The most annoying thing is that convenience stores here in the UK don't sell coffee-based bottled drinks at all, only Red Bull and other brands of artificial dreck.

If a person smells bad or is loud... Smokers, hard core drinkers... I can't list all the things that can potentially turn me off. XD I think I'll go for the largest one: Red hair. I don't know why but... red hair just bothers me.

I wouldn't say it's a turn off, but I don't really like energy drinks. The overdose of sugar and artificial crap has that polluting taste to it.

If people want energy they could just eat a bunch of hemp or something. Lots of nutrients.

Walking to school on friday, I saw this woman with an amazing arse.

Then her arm dropped to her side with a little white stick in it, and smoke poured out of her mouth.

Yeah, no thanks.

Girls that dress thrashy, always wearing flip-flops and the like. I don't like girls who don't bother to look nice.

I don't know about this one. Girls that overdress just scream "trying too hard" to me. Also, those dressed casually are also more approachable I think. The logic would work something like this: over-dressed = high maintenance/demanding.

People that do only seem to talk about drinking and do nothing but drink in their free time besides doing their schoolwork.

I've met a lot of girls like that, but you get to learn more about them and see their opinions and intelligence on things when you see them and you don't go out and party. Sometimes makes me wonder if they may become functional-alcoholics or eventually delve completely into alcoholism. But someone always has some good parts to them.

The other thing that turns me off is people that take music too seriously, especially at a party or something, where they just talk about the music.... wow. Fun time. Dressing in tight clothes to go out and talk about how shitty the music is here... with other kids dressed just like you.
Don't care if youre doing it sober or drunk- its just quite possibly the least interesting thing you can do when theres a bunch of people hanging out having a good time... seriously.

I really don't care for younger girls
EDIT: Reason being,If you see a 20 year old with a 65 year old man, then it's just nasty IMO. one of my friends is 18, and he's dating a 12-year old...that's just wrong. I vow to never be a cradle robber!

You might want to tell the police about your friend.
