What are some really good DS titles?

Dragon Quest Heroes Rocket Slime.
Excuse the combat style and play it for a while, when you get to the tank battles very early on it gets awesome.

The World Ends With You.

Try Lock's Quest, an highly underrated Tower Defence with action-y bits.

After totaling up the numbers from here and a few other boards I asked on, The World Ends with You and Professor Layton will also be on my search along with Pheonix Wright. Lots of good games.

I know others have mentioned but:

The World Ends With You
Ghost Trick

Two of the DSs finest and most interesting. Although I love Phoenix Wright too and you should definitely seek them out.

Miles Edgeworth Investigates is also as good as Phoenix Wright but with a few twists on the formula.

A lot of my recommendations have already been said, but I'll put in my suggestions anyway:

Hotel Dusk (and if you aren't in Europe and feel like importing it, as I did, its sequel, the Last Window)
Okamiden, regardless of what someone in a previous post said. It's good. I loved the original, and I love this one
Professor Layton series (though you said you would be getting that)
Ghost Trick
Animal Crossing: Wild World
Time Hollow
Picross 3D
Kirby Superstar Ultra
Elite Beat Agents
Pheonix Wright universe (including Miles Edgeworth and Apollo Justice)

I shake in fear for the day my DS breaks down. For it is capable of playing Advance titles, and newer DS's aren't. And should it go, that's it, no more Final Fantasy VI or Golden Sun. Yeah, the oldies are still the best.

But get Chrono Trigger DS. It's fantastic. As is The World Ends With You.
