I "accidentally" watched Suicide Mickey Mouse...all the way through.
I thought I could be brave and laugh at it in the face... I forgot that it was 2 am, and noone was in the house.
Now I'm ****-scared.... :(
Any recs on making oneself less scared? (Maybe for other situations as well?)

Huh, never understood people who thought that thing was freaky. I found it boring and vaguely irritating.

Anyway, try watching something funny or listening to a good song. Not that hard to get away from fear with YouTube around. :p

I just make myself a snack, sip some tea, and turn on some infomercials. Despite being horrible to watch, they do make fear dissipate in no time at all. Or I post on forums such as these.

It just takes a bit of conditioning, and a dry sense of humour. As well, trying to predict what will happen helps. I do this frequently with horror movies.

Force a smile, or at least a smirk.
Or watch avid of adorable kittens or hilarious antics before you sleep (make sure it's not a jumper vid)

I am endlessly amused by the fact that a person who was terrified by Suicide Mouse decided to name themselves "axelunatic".
But maybe I am just delirious from all this sickness.

Anyway, I guess funny things or cute things might help? I don't know, I've never had this problem. I can't actually get scared.
Maybe go search "puppy" or "kitten" on YouTube. Find shit like this.

aha! you're new here! (now to impart some wisdom!)

if you want to reply to someone else's post, click "quote" and write your reply under their post in the reply box you get taken to (rather like i'm doing now) that way, the person in question will be alerted to the quote and can reply back :D

Just don't be scared. Its the advice I give everyone when they complain about being scared or freaked out. I know it sounds stupid, but it works for me.

Fear is the mind killer, man. Its the little death. Don't be scared; just remember you are human. We already ARE the scariest thing on our planet. You see a ghost, you bust out your hoover and wreck its day.
