XBL - Ikaruga

Just give it a chance, it's as much a puzzle game as a frantic shooter

PSN - Echochrome

Really great looking game. One of a kind.

If DLC counts then I must have Fallout 3's bunch. If just for games I would probably say battlefield 1943 it looks awesome! Also, if you guys get to plug Genre Wars every time you speak then may I take the liberty of plugging this? http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/18.119115?page=1

I'd say Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition on XBox Live.
But then again I have neither an XBox or a Playstation, I'm just a Monkey Island fanboy.

I'd like to plug the Oblivious Presents series of threads.
You can find them all here. [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/profiles/posts/Cpt_Oblivious?view=bookmark]

Battlefield:1943 looks to be a great game. But if I was to go with stuff I have then it would be Band of Bugs, a great TBS game and some of the dialogue is quite funny.

Pac-Man C.E., without question. One of the most consistently satisfying play experiences to be had on XBLA.

I'd also say that everyone should try Flower on PSN. It's quite a unique experience.

Oh, also, plugging threads you created is really just kind of tacky.

XBLA:
- Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition. Absolutely awesome.

- Battlefield 1943. It's extremely fun to play it.

Has for the PSN the only one I know of is Flower. Played it at a friends house for a few minutes and I warmly recommend it.

I can't speak for the PSN store, but two great game on the XBLA are Castle Crashers and Battlefield: 1943. Oh, and DOOM, you always have to have DOOM...

On PSN:
Echocrome, anything Pixel Junk, and Last Guy. I recently got Trash Panic and I'm really liking it, I'm only a few levels in so I don't know if I'm ready to call it a Must Have just yet.
I don't know if you're counting games that you can get on disc too but if so Warhawk is THE must have psn game.

While I can understand it wouldn't be the case for a lot of people Noby Noby Boy is a must have game for me. Beside the fact I'm a huge Katamari fan, it's what I play around with while trying to decide if I want to play Warhawk or my latest acquisition.

I expect people are tired of hearing this but Braid is definitely THE must have xbla game.
I also dig that pac man remake they have.
And Rez is one of the best games of all time, even better in HD.

For the XBLA, the only full title I've bought would be Braid, and I found it well worth my 1200 points, though I wouldn?t recommend it if you hate symbolism, pretension, artsy-ness, or reading.

Noby Noby Boy (PSN). Why? Its just one of those things that you need to try at least once, if only for its level of quirkiness.

Oh, and Ratchet & Clank Future: Quest for Booty is a great deal of fun for 15 bucks.

I can only speak for XBLA:

Braid is an absolute necessity. It's difficult. It'll frustrate you immensely. But you'll fall in love with it if you've got even the slightest bit of artsiness about you.

Duke Nukem 3D is always a giggle, albeit slightly less so than the PC version with its mods and such.

Hexic HD is a fantastic simple colourful distraction to help deal with a hangover. I don't think I've ever played it in a completely sober state...

Braid! Braid! Yes, others already said it, but still, Braid!
And DOOM, of course. Best. Game. Ever.
Oh, and N+, Ikaruga and Pac-Man C.E. are really cool too.
