Azumanga Daioh. I swear, the mind of Kiyohiko Azuma must be a very bizarre place. I've also gotten into his other manga, Yotsuba&. I'm also into Excel Saga.

I can't really get into the more serious animes because in my opinion, most of them take themselves too seriously, or try to get into too much political/psychological stuff. I can appreciate that, but when your show has mecha, I don't want you to talk psychology in your show.

Just shoot a planet.

Claymore is a good manga. but the anime was really disapointing... I also liked DeathNote (Although it is old, it still rocks!) btw does anyone read Hitman Reborn? the begining was a gag, no doupts, but later on, the battle is pretty interesting and the art is really good too.
