What are your best top 3 fav games this generation produce so far?

heres mine

1. Doom

Easily best game of this generation so far or i would say best FPS since decade. from start to finish. its blast and there is no game give me more fun than this game right here. only thing i can say bad about it that it has no quick save system. otherwise game is masterpiece. and must play game for FPS fan. its badass old school fast paced arena shooter.

2. Hitman

I hate how it was released and many people miss it because of how it was release. and beside shitty launch process game is one of the best in series and best one since blood money. its easily best stealth game of this generation. a large sandbox style level design we can explore and multiple way to complete mission and kill target. in a terms of level design its best in series. Agent 47 is gaming number one protagonist imo.

3. Metro Redux

Sure they were last gen games. but they are the kind of remastered that done right. both Metro games were excellent despite bieng flawed and metro 2033 was very flawed but good game because they had limited budget and sequel was better in every way. this redux version give Metro 2033 a new life and its a game that get most advantage from it. Metro games are some of the best story driven FPS games ever made. its story make most RPG (especially mass effect and witcher) really bad. amazing mature story. plus one of the best atmosphere in gaming. Cant wait for next game that will be non linear STALKER type.

So what are best 3 games of this gen so far?

lets discuss

I'd need a cutoff year for PC games as far as generations go. I'd also need to know, for the sake of argument, whether handholds count (specifically the 3DS - would it be considered last-gen because of the Switch?). Otherwise, the only console of this generation I've played is the Xbox One, and only three games at that.

There's really nothing that has blown me away this generation yet like The Last of Us (one of my favorites of the last generation) but granted, I'm always a year or so behind so I haven't been anywhere near some of the big dogs like Witcher 3 (although I did finally just start it up), Persona 5, Deus Ex Mankind Divided, etc. The big dogs I have gotten to like Metal Gear Solid 5 and DOOM were good games....but not deserving of a title like Game of the Generation.

So with all that said...

1. Wolfeinstein The New Order; something that DOOM could have learned from. It's OK to have killer gameplay AND an actual story to go along with it. I greatly enjoyed DOOM but all it was was shooting and gore where Wolfenstein had that plus a story and characters worth caring about.

2. XCOM 2; I loved XCOM so this was kind of a unfair pick as I swear those games were designed with me in mind. I was crushed when they said it wasn't coming to the console and then uncrushed when...well...it came to the console. Worth the wait and was very happy with what we got.

3. Fallout 4...I guess?; Kind of like my examples above, this is a game that ends up in my Top 3 just by default. I could probably just as easily argue Doom, MGS5 or Shadow of Mordor but none of these games blew me away the way I would expect a Game of the Generation to.

Hopefully as I get to more of these killer games everyone else always gets to first, I will have a better fleshed out list.

Bloodborne and Shadow of Mordor. Dont have a third cause I havent played it yet. I mean, I dont know what that is, but I -want- to play Dishonored 2, Witcher 3 and a bunch others, I just havent gotten to it yet, but I bet my third is among them.

1. Pokemon Sun and Moon
2. Horizon Zero Dawn
3. Dark Souls 3

Also Undertale and Sunless Sea, since they're 'technically' are part of the current PC generation, at least if we're going by 'release date of the PS4/Xbone'.

1. Shadow of Mordor
2. Deus Ex: Mankind Divided
3. TBA

For real, there are only 3 games I've played on my new PS4, and one of them was a port of The Walking Dead. So, whatever the next game I buy is, it will finish my list by default.

No particular order:

1: Carmageddon: Max Damage,
It's Carmageddon how it should be again. Which is more than welcome after atleast a decade and a half absence.

2: Borderlands: The Handsome Collection,
I stil can't put BL2 down, and BL:THC gives the definitive version for consoles. 60FPS, includes a FOV slider that goes to 110. More games should do that.

This one goes definetly to a IP, which I never completely liked in the past, but somehow ends up being one of my favorite FPS games.
3: Wolfenstein: The New Order + The Old Blood,
TNO gives us a perfect balance of badaas protagonist while stil making him very believable. On top of excellent gameplay.
TOB is included because it is a really good expension to a already fantastic game.

I could've said Battleborn, but it has so many problems, and it took 10 fucking months after release before it actually felt final. And it's low playerbase basically means it is doomed unless PvE stops beign dependent on the servers. Only some of the playable characters stil redeem it
