The idea of neutering being the ethical thing to do if you own a dog. Its more like the other way around really.

That Napoleon was a midget. He was 5' 7", which is hardly a shrimp.
I'm that size, and I'm 13, I mean, he must have been relatively small.

And that real life military is like CoD, just no...
I'm guessing you're one of the tallest in your class then?

Regardless, improvements in diet and healthcare with successive generations, have ensured a steady increase in the average height since the Napoleonic era.

What's unethical about it? Could it not be argued that you're stopping the unwanted breeding of animals that in turn could not be supported or looked after??

I think you are nitpicking here. The whole argument wasn't "you only use 10% of you brain, period" it was "you only use 10% of your brain at once".
And that's fine, but I don't think I am. The ten percent argument is a willfully dishonest claim made by self-help coaches and new ages people peddling their services, and it's been propagated into accepted fact, for some reason. A much more honest way of looking at it is accepting that, yes, we actually use our entire brain. But maybe I am nitpicking. Either way, it's not an issue I lose sleep over.

That all atheists will argue with you about religion.
That sexual harassment only happens to females.
That atheism is the disbelief in god rather than the absence of belief.
That America is the richest country in the world.
That Hitler was German(Seriously, some people still think that he was German).
That the SS was part of the German Army.

Most Christians are fundamentalists.
Being Atheists makes you inherently smarter or more aware than a Christian.
The South is a place full of racists, bigots, and very few genuinely good people.

That smoking marijuana will turn you into a crazed, misguided, thief. This is a completely ridiculous idea.

United States of America:

- That we actually like the Hollywood culture.
- That Black Americans have it rougher or to a higher degree of less fairness than the rest of the majority/minority population.

- That modern day governments are extensions of past governments and are in essence, the exact same people as the previous rulers, bodies, etc.
- That warfare is immoral, wrong, and has no contributed to humanity in any positive way, shape, or form.
- That John Lennon was a good person and a moral human being.
- That not believing in gay marriage or being opposed to gay marriage and being against gays are the same thing.
1)A lot of people love Hollywood culture. Which is why it's followed by the media, why there are so many magazines and websites making millions to billions every year. People are star crazy in America because of the way this country makes success the only option. This "you have to be the best of the best" mentality most Americans have. That leads to people vicariously following celebs because that's what they want to be.

2)Black Americans do have it tougher in general, and saying differently is at the least, completely removed from the realities of their situation.

3)Opposing same-sex marriage=anti-gay position=anti-gay.

4)Warfare is a last option resort to problems, but many Americans are so gun/violence crazy, really starting from when we stole the land from the Indians, that they see that violence is the way to eliminate an issue instead of actually handling it like a human. Instead of strategy or some sort of detailed plan many Americans would just prefer we kill anyone and everyone who is a potential threat or in any way is interpreted looks at us a wrong way. It's a severe social-wide mentality issue that needs to be addressed.

Your other two statements are opinions, that are also debatable, but they are statements like the other things you said, and your entitled to your opinions, however wrong they may be.

Quite a few misconceptions. The some of the worst I can think of immediately:

1)That America is a democracy. How can people actually continue to say that it is? Do people not take civics? Which leads to another point, how many people "in the majority" (read: White, straight, Christian) feel empowered and entitled to extra rights and rights over others. Power hungry fools+ignorance=trouble.

2)That all people who do drugs/alcohol are all low-life losers. And that the mentally ill are freaks. That everyone in jail is a loser. That all homeless/poor/financially struggling are losers. That fat people are losers. These are majorly pervasive attitudes, that people who have problems in their lives are all losers. Many times these are people who really just need some direction, and a friend or some sort of person there to be there for them, or they are people who have just been hard done by society or made some mistakes. They need love and don't get it enough. The mentally ill are ostracized and not loved enough.

3)That sex is for reproduction. Making homosexuality unnatural, abnormal and, thus, immoral, heterosexuality pure, and homosexuality disgusting. Sex is NOT just for procreation. That is basic biology 101. So therefore, every single one of these statements are in-accurate. Every single anti-gay argument is inaccurate.

4)That being religious makes you moral. That religion is a moral standard. And that there is a such thing as absolute morality or normality. I don't think this needs to be explained further, it should be pretty obvious that simply believing in a belief doesn't make you a moral individual.

5)That guns kill people and are therefore bad. That is untrue. People kill people and people are bad.

All British people have terrible teeth. Not exactly sure how this came about, since dental care is free for everyone under the age of 18 (ie, when teeth are developing).

Just at rest you are using about 15% of your brain. Beyond that your sense are going off like crazy.
No, we use about one hundred percent; this is easily proven by putting the average person into an fMRI machine. Just, you know, we don't use all of it at the same time. Kind of like how we don't use all our muscles simultaneously.
I think you are nitpicking here. The whole argument wasn't "you only use 10% of you brain, period" it was "you only use 10% of your brain at once".
That's still untrue. 10% of your neurons are firing at any one time, which is not indicative of the amount of th brain being used.

Austria, Germany, not a lot of differences there. And he lived most of his life in Germany, and at that was German. He just wan't born in Germany.

OT: Not a lot of misconceptions that I know of. But after reading this thread, I've learned about a couple of them. Not that I had said misconception set as reality in my own mind. More of that I now know of some misconceptions.

Absolutely! But the responsibility lies with the owners. A puppy is not a toy you can get for your daughters birthday. And irresponsible breading is what causes the overpopulation. The puppy mills and the breeders are the ones to blame, but they are making a lot of money on their industry and are not easy to reach.

Castrating male dogs can result in bone cancer, doubles the small risk of prostate cancer and increases the risk of orthopedic disorders as well as the risk of adverse reactions to vaccinations. Furthermore, the drastic hormone change may cause several behavior effects that might cause depression or obesity. When it comes to bitches, the situation is more complex. The many medical disadvantages of neutering has lead the scientific community to look for surgical or medical alternatives, but the mainstream veterinary profession is still making a lot of money on neutering and spraying so things wont change for a good while. However, a few countries in Europa has already put a ban on neutering of dogs. In Norway, castrating your pet is illegal unless its necessary due certain medical reasons.

For more information on the subject, i can recommend this summarization by Laura Sanborn from Rutgers University.
