What are you currently doing with your life?

Hiya escapists.

Pretty simple topic: What are you currently occupied with, and to what ends do you expect this to take you?

I, for example, am currently attending a Folk high school. [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Folk_high_school] Here I study music, mostly by means of playing. I'm also trying to learn how to draw and write on the side.
I've chosen to take a year to study music in an informal (exam and grade free) environment so that I can take some time to develop as a person (particularly socially) and figure out what I want to do with my life while I'm enjoying exercising my creative side instead of my academic side. And, of course, because I like music.
I'm currently thinking of studying physics at a university when I finish my year at the folk high school.

I still don't know what I'd like to be or do when I grow up, so I'm just following my usual mantra of doing what I like to do and living in the moment. I'm sure I'll find some sort of job or something after finishing my education. For the time being, I'm just trying to make sure that my education will be something that I'll enjoy.

So how about you people? What are you up to?

I'm attending community college, trying to recover from last year's utter failure. I had suicidal depression and pretty much gave up halfway through both semesters. I failed everything, getting a 32 in my best subject.

I've recovered quite nicely though, I've been doing very well in all my classes, including ones I failed last year. I think I finally know what I want to do with my life, (or at least, what I want to major in, and where I want to transfer to) and I've got my life on track for the first time since high school.

Trying to pick myself up after the epic failure of my exams and am resitting the whole year, also desperately hoping that a ray of inspiration will hit me because I'm tired of doodling dragons all the time. Basically, trying to balance my creative side and academic side.

Well I graduated from St Mary's University in July, I've been looking for a job ever since. No luck so far! I want a part time job at the moment, I'm willing to take on anything. I'm still not 100% sure what I want to do with my life. I know that at one point I do want to teach piano though.

I just moved into a new apartment,
and I'm making concept art for a webcomic.

At this exact moment I'm sitting in a rather boring "Water treatment & Pollution Control" class/lecture.

In terms of the grand scheme of things, I'm taking a Power Engineering course which I'm hoping will ultimately get me a place working at a nuclear power facility. Don't really have too much to add to that. Just trying to make the best of things!

Personal Trainer currently taking life easy after years of travelling the world and being shot at.

Also making plans for early retirement. Me and the wife have enough funds saved up/investments and I served long enough for a full army pension which means I can officially retire by the time I hit my mid 40's so only about 10 years left of working for me.

Surviving & that's about it. I've been living paycheck to paycheck for so long now that if I ever can start saving money it's likely to put me into shock... Other than that well not much at all.

Retire in my 40s... I wish you good luck sir, if someone told me I could do that I would laugh at them.

What can you suggest about a guy whose ultra high metabolism is slowing down and being replaced with a belly bump?

I work as a director at a broadcasting station. Its fun, but not what I wanted to do. I want to get into television production, its my dream job. Sigh, they always said hard work pays off, but they never said luck and a good economy helps too.

On a good note, working as a director has made it remarkably easy to call people out on their bull shit, which is something I've been too shy to ever do for years. So I guess some good has come from this.

Finishing off my last year of school (which should have been last year) and have just gotten my first job that I start on Wednesday (I believe).
Going well so far.

Writing mostly. Working on 3 fictitious shows at the moment. This is mostly for practice. I have no plans for making the shows, but if I can get a showrunner's job, I'll know how to do it.

In addition, I'm in the process of going on a working vacation soon. I'm getting away from home to get rid of pent up stress and frustrations, but I'm planning on making it somewhat permanent if I can find a job while on vacation.

I work as a Developer and Tech support specialist at a company that develops archiving and database management software for oil refineries. Riveting...

Other than that, I'm happily married to a wonderful girl, who is a Veterinarian (So I get to call her Doctor). I have a decent house (renting sadly), a nice car (2012 Nissan Altima), and, yeah, life if good.

Student Loans suck, though.

In a University (freshman) currently working on my major in Simulation, Animation and Gaming aka SAG(yes, that's all one thing). The SAG class that I am in right now is the introductory course, so some of the tools we are working with are pretty basic sadly, like instead of using flash, we are required to use a program called Anime Studio 8. And it is terrible. The teacher says it's too difficult to learn to use flash even on a basic level for this class but that seems like a bit of a load of crap, as I, an unintelligent individual, managed to pick up the basics in about 2 hours, and it's much easier to use in my opinion, than AS8, because AS8 is evil and I hate it. My art class hasn't really helped me much in the way of drawing people, or backgrounds (we're really just focused on color composition) so I tend to have to try and motivate myself to draw people and places because like pretty much every other young teen artist, I hope to make a web comic. Recently, I've been more wrapped up in the mechanics of the story, and trying to realistically gauge what quality my comic should be to insure somewhat regular updates instead of putting out a really pretty page only once a month :/.
That may sound like a lot (or maybe it doesn't) but this really just equates to me sitting around in my dorm room being anti-social slacking off on what I could be doing and only having 2 friends, those friends being my roommate and 1 of my suite mates.
tl;dr I am a bad person.
