I'm on placement year with a software company, the year after this I'm doing my final year in biochemistry, and the year after that, hopefully I'll be working somewhere in a relatively decent job. That's about as far as I've planned at this stage.

Just working at my first job. My six months contract is almost due but I am certain they will still keep me on especially when the deputy manager is going to leave soon (I mean we are already busy and it ain't Christmas yet).
My parent on the other hand want me to leave (give them my two weeks notice) so that we can move to the city for me to find a better job but I think otherwise.
I mean 6 months is enough for CV wise but I would like to stay at least for another 6 months at least (a year) but I pretty sure it more of an confident issue as I believe I only gotten my first job but luck alone. So what is the chance anyone would hire me when I quit my current job?

Nearing the end of my school life, preparing for my final A Level exams (they won't be until June though). After that I'll go to uni, recently sent off my application. If all goes as well as it can, I'll end up at either Cambridge or Bristol doing geography.

Also looking into learning another language, seriously considering moving out of this country when I'm done with my studies, or at least doing some hardcore travelling. Thinking about learning portuguese but I'm not sure whether to try to start learning it now or wait til I'm at uni and take it as an extra module if possible. Oh and I'm playing Football Manager as Reading. Everyday. I need to get laaaid.

I am a Paramedic and a firefighter. I started instructing EMS this fall. I am done with school for now, until I find something that peaks my interest. I am also a city councilman, but am not seeking reelection in November. I am working on several public safety projects and grants for my agencies, and I am in the process of inventing/improving some devices for EMS and the fire service. Other than that, spending time with my family.

What can you suggest about a guy whose ultra high metabolism is slowing down and being replaced with a belly bump?
Don't eat crap, lift weights, and start working cardio into your routine in a few weeks. Don't go to crazy at first, or you'll hurt yourself. Now that my metabolism has slowed down, I can finally put on muscle mass easier. In a few more weeks I should be set to fit into an men's small shirt.

I just graduated, looking for work...which isn't going very well. Looking into graduate schools, but I haven't taken the GREs yet.

I'm working at an airsoft shop part time, only on Fridays and weekends.I can work during the full school term when I'm 15,so I have a good head start money wise over my friends, but I tend to blow all my money on airsoft stuff and Spearmints.
Otherwise I'm sitting my ass reading or playing games.

I'm attending York Uni, studying English Literature; I'm currently in my second year. If all goes according to plan, I plan to finish my degree, move on to a PGCE here at York and then get a job teaching. I also plan to move up to County Durham, because living in the country with the rest of my family would be lovely.

Other than that, I'm slowly but surely writing more and more music, and recording more and more music. With any luck, I'll find myself a vocalist and get some full songs written.

I'm currently in my first semester of my computer games design and programming course.

...because obviously I don't want a job, since it's impossible unless you specialise, apparently, whereas I'd want to learn everything if I could -_-

I've already obtained my Bachelor's and looking for a fitting job is my No. 1 priority. I have a part-time job, but it's quickly turning out to be a real drag. I've had part-time jobs before, and they were at least fun; this one is pretty much demanding too much of my time without giving me the proper pay.

I want to get a better, full-time gig, but nothings appearing on the radar. But, I'm optimistic and looking, so you can't blame me for not trying and not making the best of the situation.

Maybe I'll get around to finishing my first book. I have to be in a good mood to write, though, so this could be challenging.

Hiya escapists.

Pretty simple topic: What are you currently occupied with, and to what ends do you expect this to take you?

I, for example, am currently attending a Folk high school. [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Folk_high_school] Here I study music, mostly by means of playing. I'm also trying to learn how to draw and write on the side.
I've chosen to take a year to study music in an informal (exam and grade free) environment so that I can take some time to develop as a person (particularly socially) and figure out what I want to do with my life while I'm enjoying exercising my creative side instead of my academic side. And, of course, because I like music.
I'm currently thinking of studying physics at a university when I finish my year at the folk high school.

I still don't know what I'd like to be or do when I grow up, so I'm just following my usual mantra of doing what I like to do and living in the moment. I'm sure I'll find some sort of job or something after finishing my education. For the time being, I'm just trying to make sure that my education will be something that I'll enjoy.

So how about you people? What are you up to?
I'm also going to a Folk high school this year. I'm studying art because I thought it might help with my goldsmith education. I'm hoping I'll be able to work as a goldsmith after this year, but it isn't easy to find work.

Me! Yay! My favorite topic!

I have a class in two hours which will legally let me stab people and take their blood.

In all seriousness though, phlebotomy class is pretty fun.

I am currently studying for my final A-Levels off the back of some pretty bitchin' AS results. My studies have been slacking slightly, due to some distractions - asked a girl I'd liked for a while out recently and - who knew - turns out she liked me too, so that's been keeping me uhh busy. Yeah I'd say life is pretty swell right now.

I've entered the "real world", post school. I have a job I enjoy, but is tedious none-the-less, that occupies about 10 hours of my day (8hours of work, 1/2hour commute both ways, and getting ready in the morning). After work I go to the gym for about 2 hours then have dinner. I watch TV for about 4 hours then go to sleep and repeat.

I do get weekends, summer, winter, and spring vacations (I work for my local school district); but that just gives me time to play games I've missed out on during the rest of the year.

I need to get a life and find a partner to copulate with but I'll probably just buy another sword and play whatever just came out.
