University student here. Getting a major in biology with a side of chemistry. I really wish I didn't pick chemistry with my biology. 6 hours in a chemistry lab and 30 hours of writing a lab journal explaining my findings. I will soon pick an area to write a master's degree in, I'm not sure where I will end up, but I think I might look for something in evolution or zoology.

What can you suggest about a guy whose ultra high metabolism is slowing down and being replaced with a belly bump?
Don't eat crap, lift weights, and start working cardio into your routine in a few weeks. Don't go to crazy at first, or you'll hurt yourself. Now that my metabolism has slowed down, I can finally put on muscle mass easier. In a few more weeks I should be set to fit into an men's small shirt.

I just graduated, looking for work...which isn't going very well. Looking into graduate schools, but I haven't taken the GREs yet.
.

Economy is really crawling right now, took me almost 3 years to find something stable and in my field.

Don't have weights, do I need them? I don't really care about muscle mass I'm already married and my wife loves what I look like now so why put forth needless work. I just want to get rid of the slight bulge on my stomach. It used to go in... now its out lol least make it a happy neutral.

Screwing up a bachelor in computer science and being somewhat depressed. (The first probably being the result of the second, though it may also be a wonderful vicious circle)

I'm working on both things, though, so I'm not too worried.

Studying national economics and classic science theory (and I am too stupid and have too little time to understand the latter) while wishing I was still back in the workforce.

I am working for the local government, I am a civil technician. 2 years ago when I was still on contract not permanent I decided that it was time to look into different areas so I would never be unemployed again regardless of the economic situation.

To this end I have gone back to college by night to complete a degree in open engineering. I started moonlighting as a project manager consultant for different firms, I also started working closely with solicitors (lawyers) on cases regarding construction law. On top of this I have been researching better farming practices (I own a farm) in order to increase productivity while reducing labor and costs which is kinda working. I am currently breeding Shetland ponies to sell abroad.

My long term plan after I get my degree is to start a law degree after or a masters and then Phd in engineering, I have yet to decide.

But really what I am doing right now is typing this on the escapist when I am meant to be studying for what is going to be the hardest exam in the Beng which is taking place tomorrow at half two.

Please please wish me luck. Right my half hour break is over, now back to chemical fatigue and crack propagation.

Eh... It's none of your business really, but nothing really interesting, just trying to figure out how to get back on track, currently studying some University level Math courses but not really doing a career yet, I like too many stuff to decide, one week I love Math, the next it's Biology, then Chemistry, then Physics, currently Genetics, wouldn't be surprised if that changes in a couple of weeks, I curse my indecisive nature, I'm never going to get anywhere if I don't choose something, though I really wish I could study everything...

You'll make your belly look smaller by building up your upper body. Plus the increased muscle mass helps you burn calories.

Why is your title the thing I've been asking myself for the past week?

I'm in uni, changing my major. Again. And I need a bloody job, not that I have the time while going to school with a boat load of credit hours- and writing as a side hobby.

No wonder I'm dealing with awful insomnia.

Well if it helps burn calories... I just don't want to be ripped. Toned is as far as I go. More of a personally preference thing.
