I took my boys trick or treating. We came home had dinner and watched cartoons. Now that it's bed time for my kids I'm thinking it's time for me to watch some Ghost Hunters or some other type of scary movie.

Hello and welcome to the Escapist! I hope you enjoy your time here, just make sure you stay out of the basement. If you are looking for something scary to check out this Halloween, I suggest visiting the rather large scary thread: http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/18.211546-The-scary-thread

OT: I played a game of Civ 5 with a friend. I won as Askia (Songhai). Not very Halloweenish... I'll probably read/listen to some creepypastas or maybe re-watch Trick 'r Treat.

Edit: Nevermind, the Flames are playing tonight so I'll be watching them first. Scary stuff will come after.

Well, I went out to a night put on by an old associate's younger brother at one of my old pub hangouts, lamented the change in the place and the march of time, the usual old git stuff. But I also met an old friend by chance and we didn't part on the best of terms so it was nice to get reacquainted. All in all a a good night, glad I got up off my arse for once.

I sat at home alone and was bored. Halloween isn't very big in Australia, I didn't even get any trick-or-treaters this year.

Better to be alone than with the ungrateful shits I live with. This Halloween I spent at Wal-Mart, returning party supplies that were never used, then using that money to do what I should have done the first time in - buy Alien: Isolation.

Sadly for me, I've had such a rough life that it's nearly impossible to scare me. I've nearly died, twice, due to long-standing medical conditions. And I'm only in my 30s. My emotional range goes from apathetic to utter despair, no in between. So I try to live vicariously through others on Halloween. When that doesn't work out, well, that's why we can't have nice things.

I worked and hoped none of my co-workers found about about my birthday which they didn't so I was happy about that. I hate being the center of attention.

Well to update on everything, I streamed Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon, and for the last hour until midnight I did some Super Smash Bros 3DS matches. One of the bad things that happened though was that the stream didn't save the MP4 file correctly, and it's corrupted. So instead I downloaded all the FLV files...but literally nothing supports FLV which is a problem... >.>
I'm gonna be converting them for a while, and I'm gonna be streaming later on Nov. 1st as well.

Work yesterday, work today, work tomorrow!
So no Halloween for me, no idea what I would've done if I hadn't worked.
Maybe the same as every weekend, game, drink alcohol and watch football :D

Well, this years All Hallow's Eve is fast approaching us, and I was wondering what everybody tends to do this type of year. Are you going to go to a house party and get hammered have an enjoyable time with your friends? Have a scary movie night planned? Have a bonfire and make s'mores? Stay at home and do work while telling children that you ate all of the candy? The possibilities are endless.
Numerous kids received candy at my house this year. Otherwise, I've been here on my computer waiting and goofing off but then again I just moved to a new area.

My big "event" for Halloween this year was going to Universal Orlando for Halloween Horror Nights (the same thing Russ Pitt did) which was hectic because it was during moving preparation, it was planned well ahead of time and we couldn't get refunds for a lot of the stuff we did. I was there three nights, and yeah, it was pretty awesome. It's unlikely, but if I can somehow put the money away I might see if they are doing a version of it down at the Hollywood park which is now closer. That said I also went to see the Harry Potter stuff since despite my age I'm kind of a fan, and that was pretty awesome as well (and the Hollywood park doesn't have any of that so odds are I won't be impressed with it during the daytime if I do go, but odds are if I plan it I'll do day and night and plan to be there all day at least).

I was forced to go to a party but it sucked really bad so we left early, but since we had no cash I was basically stranded on the street near the cinema waiting for some guys to show up who supposedly had money but they took like 2 hours so what I ended up doing was talking to what was mostly strangers since they wanted to question me because I guess I'm fairly strange, we talked a lot, it was OK I guess for some reason I remember that part when I said that it was really awkward that people were staring at me like I was a freak[footnote]I was wearing what I normally wear, brown hiking boots, black leather pants, black shirt, a red scarf with a black star pattern and a black coat, like a long coat.[/footnote] when they were wearing clown costumes and stuff and one girl answered that maybe they were staring because I look good, that was nice-ish I guess, in any case it wasn't the worst thing ever but it was a waste of time since I'm probably never seeing those people again.

Nothing unusual, although I may put a horror film or two on the second screen and play some FTL, or something. Depends if I can tear away from Wasteland 2. I've got a hankering to re-watch the Evil Dead remake and The Orphanage.

I'll also be hoping that, like last year, we don't get Trick-or-Treated; so that I can then get wired into all the snacks we bought as a precautionary method.
I love those movies, Evil Dead remake is great and I'm assuming you're talking about Del Toro's The Orphanage which was great too, re-watching those doesn't sound like a bad idea.

Was planning on seeing Horns with my girlfriend for Halloween, but we just decided to put it off, not realizing at the time it had a limited release. We decided to catch a later showing. I guess the week really caught up with me when we got home, because I got hit by a wave of exhaustion. Fell asleep for a few hours, woke up well past the time that the movie started, and had to go off for a planned dinner at a family friend's restaurant. I was groggy the whole time, and barely made it through my meal. Went back home and fell asleep again, until the next morning.

Easily my worst Halloween ever. The entire day was wasted, with not a single horror movie watched or piece of candy eaten. I am not going to lie, I am actually a little depressed.
