What are you ESCAPING from?

Every day i come to the ESCAPIST to escape from my work, life problems, financial issues.
All i want is enjoyment, news from the "future" of media, science, oppinions on games that
i, sincerely said, don't really have time to play anymore.
It is good to know what is going on somewhere totally outside of my work horizon,
to be up to date on the console front, to laugh with Yahtzee's fantastic and honest reviews.
And
WHY ARE YOU HERE?

My MSc. Its hard work and in truth any time I here doing this I should be working on one assignment or another. Otherwise its just to get a good conversation. People don't understand the value of a good argument were both sides argue with value facts and opinions. Its one of the big things I hated about moving to uni. I used to have all sorts of pseudo serious conversations about all sorts of random stuff from politics to zombie survival plans. People just wont do it. Yet I find if I pester the forums long enough I can inevitably find someone who's time is worthless and will argue with me

I'm not escaping, I like my life. But none of my friends are gamers, so I wanted a place to discuss them. But the community here has gotten a bit too vitriolic. I can't say I enjoy it as much as I used to, so I can't imagine why this would be a place to escape to if that were my goal.
