What are you going to be playing this spring/summer?

Well, it's getting to be that time of the year. April is here, and with it exam period for many university-age Escapists. After that comes the spring/summer break. My question is simply, what are you going to be playing during that time? Any new games you're excited about getting?

For me personally, on my time off this summer I'll likely be getting back into Crusader Kings II. I haven't been able to devote enough time in the past few months to it, so I'm ready to start exterminating entire bloodlines again.

If i'm lucky enough to have a PS4 by that point, i'll be playing Bloodborne. I get that Sony licensed the game themselves but after both Dark Souls games having a PC release, suddenly Bloodborne being an exclusive makes me feel like it's just a good game being held hostage as an excuse to buy a new console. Eh, I guess they'll have patched the excessive load times by then though. I need a PS4 to play Persona 5 later too so i'd end up getting one at some point anyway.

If not, i'll be getting Bravely Default for my 3DS because my 3DS collection is like 4 games max. It's basically Fire Emblem: Awakening: The Console for me.

God maybe i'll finish ICO as well, I have the first hour memorised by how many times i've tried it. It's not even bad, I just leave it for months on end and I have no bloody idea where I am or what i'm doing. That's also the direction Okami went for me.

Also i'll get on Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni since i'm nearing the end of its spiritual sequel Umineko No Naku Koro Ni. I watched the anime ages ago but it might be nice to play the original, especially if that apparent Steam official release happens that i've heard about. The Higurashi anime was good too, the Umineko anime... not so much.

More CS:GO. Because 450 hours in 3 months just isn't enough. And if I'm able to have time for other stuff, probably Witcher 3. I've been trying to start dark souls but I've given up both times so far.

I think I'm going to be getting a better laptop than the one I'm currently using...In fact, I think I'll be getting it within the next few days or weeks so with that I may finally be able to play Postal 2 and Luftrauser, neither of which want to work on my current laptop. I'm probably also going to dive head-first into FF8 since I got it on Steam during the last Squeenix sale. When it comes to actually NEW games...I have no idea. There are a ton of 2014 games that I haven't picked up and since it's on clearance, I think I'm going to break down and get Wolfenstein: The New One on the PS3. I may also break down and grab Tropical Freeze which is another game I haven't grabbed yet and I think a buddy of mine is going to give me his copy of New Super Luigi U since I missed out on the physical copies of THAT too.

Then there are some wildcards to consider...I have a feeling that my GF will be the one who picks up Splatoon once that launches and I KNOW she's going to get Yarn Yoshi but I think that got pushed back to the fall...dammit. Once I finish FF7 within the next couple of days, I'll probably get back into Far Cry 3 & Blood Dragon...and Superstar Saga...and the GBA remasterings of Final Fantasy and FF2.

I think I'll be continuing my turbulent relationship with monster hunter 4 while touring the galaxy in elite dangerous.

If I can get the money for a PS4 this year I will be playing Arkham Knight this summer. If not Scholar of the First Sin is coming in the mail on the 7th of April and will likely keep me entertained for a few months while I platinum it. I also have large backlog of games that I need to motivate myself to play.

Iunno. Probably will be back into my main MMOs (FFXIV and Phantasy Star Online 2).

There's nothing on my radar for summer at all. :<

I could actually attempt to start Persona Q. But I never liked the Etrian Odyssey games.

I got a Japanese version of Pirate Warriors 3 and have been playing that non-stop and I assume that shall continue well into Summer. I've probably already spent a good 15 hours on it and still haven't unlocked or played all the characters yet.

Final fantasy 14 heavensward for me also. It's the first MMO since WOW that really captivated me.

I still haven't managed to finish Persona Q or Bravely Default. I got both around the back end of last year but I just haven't had the time to devote to finish them. Also trying to complete the post-game content for Disgaea D2. I've figured out the method I'll use to get to being able to beat everything and I have all of the innocents farmed, it's just getting the stats and levels to actually do it now.

Also I'm looking into doing some retrospective stuff. I've replayed games countless times but I want to go through again this time and properly evaluate them to see whether I would be able to recommend any to someone who has never played them before.

I need to finish Persona 3 too... One of these days the backlog will twist the knife just a little bit more and I'll go crazy.

I'm quite set for the coming spring.

I obviously have Bloodborne which I'm sure to not get tired of anytime soon. I also recently bought the Kingdom Hearts 2,5 HD Final Remix as well as South Park: The Stick of Truth. And I've got the Zone of the Enders HD Collection coming down the pipline.

I'm all nice and snug.

My backlog.

What? Really. My backlog. There's nothing on my radar for the coming few months, so I'll be chewing my way through the games I've yet to get to on my Steam library.

I guess you could count the upcoming 1.3 update for Terraria? I dunno, that's still revisiting a game I've already logged hundreds of hours in, so.

Now, if Routine, Firewatch, Homeworld: Shipbreakers, or a few other games I AM anticipating, suddenly have their release dates moved up, then you can count them. Otherwise.....nothin'.

New games there isnt much maybe Chronophantasma extend if its out and the WiiU Fatal Frame but I think that may be more winter (just glad its being localised) oh and if Xenoblade hits im all over that.

I'll hopefully be playing the House of Wolves expansion in Destiny, if the devs have managed not to fuck up as gloriously as the last expansion. Since I've already been suckered into the season pass, I will be playing it any which way, it just depends on how long.

I'll also be finishing up my attempt at a 100% of Xenoblade chronicles. And if it gives me the enjoyment I expected, chances are I will purchase a WiiU in order to play Xenoblade Chronicles X.

If the above happens, I will also be enjoying Mario Party 10, since I have been a sucker for these games ever since the second installment, many many years ago.

Other hypothetical title would be Warioware and some of the zelda remasters.

And if it drops heavily in price, Bloodborne.

Gonna play the ever-loving fuck outta Witcher 2 the coming week. For me it's the mid-semester break, and I'm gonna make the most of it. Then after the semester it'll be Witcher 3.

Probably clearing my backlog before getting a PS4 next year, I am currently playing my way through Ass Creed: Black Flag. Despite my distain for the series, this game is actually pretty good. I also have Little Big Planet 3 and Katamari Forever to check out. As well as some games that didn't review well that I got cheap to play too.

I also want to replay some other games and finish others, hopefully work will stop being crazy soon so I will have some more time for myself to play games. I simply am not ready for next gen (or current gen even) and am even considering not getting a PS4 until after next year.

Destiny: I am getting an Xbox One for my birthday, and Destiny with it. I enjoyed what I played at a friend's house, and I am just excited to play it on my own.

Batman: Arkham Knight: The only game coming out this summer that I am excited for. I love the Arkham series, and I cannot wait to play the game. I know my computer can run it, but how well it can run it is certainly the question of the season.

Hearthstone - Blakcrock Mountain: The new expansion came out, and I have pre-ordered all 5 wings. I really enjoyed Naxx, and the class challenges are always the best. Heroic is going to be a pain, though.

I don't have much time for games at the moment so I'm hoping to finally make it through the Mass Effect series.

I finished the second one recently, so I only have the third instalment left.

I've managed to avoid pretty much all spoilers, wish me luck. :3
