Recently found Dawn of MIDI, a trio that emulates electronic music on traditional instruments; piano, upright bass and drums to be exact. It?s incredible.

Today's jam for me is Vektor - I found out about them only a few weeks ago and only got around to blasting the albums today and yesterday and they've really hit the sweet spot for me. They're absolutely excellent sci-fi themed technical thrash and I highly recommend them!

EDIT: Also, great thread! Love these kinds of music sharing threads, I always find some sick stuff in them!

Just cycled through 311's new album Mosaic. It's the shit. Beyond that, the Persona 5 soundtrack has had good staying power for me, specifically Ark, Price, Whims of Fate and River in a Desert

I've been spamming MMD music videos for a while now because...well, the music they use is catchy and nice background music for internet browsing.

Among other reasons....

Probably NSFW ahead

Three albums bought on the same day are still on rotation:

Phoenix's new album, Ti Amo---

Aurora's All My Demons Greeting Me As A Friend---

And Lorde's Melodrama (not a great album, but Hard Feelings/Loveless is, at least for me, maybe one of her best tracks so far)---

One new track I'm trying my hardest not to overplay - ahead of the new album, Everything Now - is Arcade Fire's Creature Comfort, which is a stupidly brilliant and powerful [and kickass] track:

A really nice moody instrumental band (Guitar, violin, drums.) I've never heard an album invoke a theme just through just the music alone better than this album. Really worth a listen.

Got a bunch of tunes in again, mostly old hardcore/doomcore, plus a bit of old acid & what the kids are calling acidcore these days.

Been listening to SleepDealer as of late. A pretty solid Russian Post Rock band. Like a lot of Post, they're pretty sparse and low-fi, so I imagine they'd be quite the acquired taste. But I dig this sort of thing.

Now listening to this, and fuck me, it's good. Reminds me of the best of Sargeist or Forteresse.
