August is here along with brutal summer temperatures. What have you been listening to this month? A funky fresh summer track? A moldy oldie? Or something that defies explaination completely? Let us know. Genre and Era are wide open.

Just heard this song from Monster Hunter Generations, and it is spooky! I like it a lot, but unfortunately the second phase gets too "epic" and spits in the more deathly, evil tone the first phase gives. Still good for MH standards, but doesn't suit coming after the first phase at all

Three words:
Other than that, been getting back into Prefuse 73's earlier albums like...
Also, I really should check out this year's Adult Swim Singles Program...

Thank You Scientist's new album Stranger Heads Prevail. Easy possible album of the year. Not much of the material from it is really up on the internet, though. So all I can do is highly recommend it to those interested even vaguely in prog rock or jazz fusion. Other stuff:

I am hearing the calm sound of the Air-Condition in my workplace sending me her cool waves of pleaser into my face and sweaty hands.
I wished I could had a Air-Condition for my feet and d*ck as well.

Well, discovered Alestorm and am enjoying the shit out of them, but aside from that I'm also listening to some particular tracks involving Metal Gear and some Black Sabbath.

(I can't seem to get Soundcloud players to load up here, so those interested will have to settle for directive links.)

A lot of stuff on Soundcloud recently. Just browsing. Came across quite a few really good finds I think.

I've been listening to all my Frost* albums. Mostly because last week I actually got to see them, something I never thought I'd get to do. I'd heard they'd already broken up by the time I discovered them, so when my brother calls me at the beginning of the year and tells me he got me tickets to see them as a birthday present, I was so psyched.

The show itself was magnificent. It was only a small venue, so I actually got up nice and close. They had themselves as a support act too. Specifically, two of the band came on as the support act and introduced themselves as "Esoteric twats in spats with bats" complete with little rubber bats, then spent about half an hour doing random songs interspersed with weird comedy routines. Such as taking a break mid song for "Leisure time", where one guy got out a Peppa Pig comic, the other a lamp with a little book. Then in another song they stopped to get served brandy by a large fellow wearing a bowler hat with a lightbulb and a GoPro on it (they called it their eBowler), before going back to it with a cry of "On your feet you workshy fop!".

Then after that they hit us with the real set and it was amazing. Then as the icing on the cake, after the show was done, I stuck around for a little bit and got to briefly meet John Mitchell and Jem Godfrey, who signed my CD case and shook my hand. Seriously, I only think the evening could've gone better if as I was leaving the venue someone handed a sack of money.

So yeah. Been in such a good mood after that, I've had their albums more or less on repeat for the last week.
