The month of love is here. What will you be listening to this month? Will you be listening to something with the one you love? Will you be listening to music that brings up memories of loves past? Will you be avoiding everyone as much as possible? Or is there another reason entirely for your musical choices? Let us know. Genre is wide open.

Avantasia released a new album a few days ago, and that's taken up pretty much all my time. I absolutely love it, and while I'm still not sure if it is better than The Scarecrow, it's definitely one of their best albums (which is saying a lot coming from me):

Recently started listening to If These Trees Could Talk again. This album in particular, but most of theirs is great background music to zone out to.

Let's see, dusted off The Real Thing by Faith No More recently.

Oh! And I fell in love again with The Fountain soundtrack. Another album to listen to in the quiet and the dark, must like ITTCT above.

And a plethora of individual songs by various artists that always orbit my personal soundtrack.

Experimental hip-hop, pop punk, and noise rock. Good stuff all around.

I heard D-WHY for the first time the other day and immediately fell in love with his shit.
His lyrics are so fucking on point, just about every song I hear of his has at least one line that kicks my feels right in the ass

The music from Lethal League... The game was given to me as a gift from one of my Steam friends... and, my glob, have I've been missing out hard on this shit!

Other than that, one of my other friends linked me this because he noticed that I have Undertale in my Steam Library:

Spoiler alert: It's more than just "Mom's Spaghetti" that gets inserted into the lyrics...
And the rest is off <url=http://psycosis91.tumblr.com/post/134296898050>Tumblr, which I "forgot" how to enable "correctly"... :p

The 1996 album Becoming X by a band called Sneaker Pimps.
It's pretty sweet.

Been really enjoying the new Massive Attack EP Ritual Spirit. It's been nearly 6 years since they last released something new and I was lukewarm on that album, but this EP absolutely kills it. I'm really hoping this is a small slice of what to expect on their next album. This is probably my favourite track from it.

So recently I saw a guy called Remi Harris live and by God was he awesome. He's a guitarist who plays gypsy jazz much like Django Reinhardt and this song in particular completely opened my eyes to the whole genre.

On the subject of musicians and genres pretty new to me, a good friend on my music course recently introduced me to Frank Zappa and this song is one I've just fallen in love with, though a number of people on the course think it's just a racket. Their loss, this is genius.

And finally, on the game music front, I really really dig the soundtrack from Undertale. All of the major boss themes are just perfect pieces of music but this one is the stand out by far.

In this old building, I'm currently listening to the faint whooshing of the computer fans and the irregular pattering of drops from the ceiling tiles - I think there's some sort of trouble with the air conditioning. For music, I like to go back to 'Hold My Hand' by U.N.K.L.E., a song that I've really dug since watching a surprisingly dark film called Trance.

Well I recently finished the first part of the latest Shadowrun "trilogy", Returns. I played it last because of the somewhat mixed feelings it had on release (while by no means a bad game, it was far from perfect and the imperfections were quite glaring), and I must say it rather impressed me for a number of reasons. Here's one of those reasons:

Currently I am discovering the Ellie Goulding is growing on me-

-that Pitbull doesn't suck so much anymore-

-that I'm still waiting for fun. to come back-

-and that before One Direction came along there was a British boy band that I can actually stomach.

There was also Macklemore's comeback-

-Paramore's best song-

-the most appropriate low-key song to write a book to-

-and finally, an adventure of a lifetime.

Same here. I've found the few songs of hers that I've heard, are quite enjoyable. I think her most recent single is sort of meh, but otherwise, she's not that bad. It's pop music that doesn't hurt my brain, or leave me with indigestion.
