Yes, it's that time of the month again. Are you being hounded by a song on the radio that just won't leave you alone? Are you loosing sleep because of a song that is just too catchy? Has a flashback left you repeating a long lost chorus? Now is your chance to expose the offending songs! Genre is entirely open.

I'm stuck on mobile for now, so I can't post any videos, but lately I've just been listening to the soundtrack to Endless Space . I'll post a list of the top ten once I get back home.

Edit : Win the ultimate country experience, captcha? No thank you, I'm forced to live it where I am.

I've been hooked on two songs lately, both are pretty much all I've been listening to.

Gotta love... whatever the hell genre this is. Pop-punk?

I've been givin' it a bitta this:

I can't really narrow them down to a top 10 from that list of classics, but at least they're all in two convenient videos. Frank Klepacki does a lot of music I like across a variety of games, as does Jeremy Soule. Quite the repertoire.

I hadn't listened to Coheed much since my middle teenage years until really recently. It's been fun to revisit them again.

I'll start with 2 videos from a collaboration album from one band I thought was overrated (Franz Ferdinand) and another band I have never heard of (Sparks). I can not stop listening to this album since I got a month ago.

For some reason I can't get enough of this classic 80's song from a legendary jazz artist.

I bought the new album by Elle King. A really gritty mix of rock and alt. country.

Waiting on a woman by Brad Paisley - I'm stuck somewhere and that's all they're playing. My poor ears

I have been listening to these two albums a hell of a lot, here are some representative tracks from both albums

A Single Man soundtrack. It helps that it is one of my favourite films ever. I also love the novel that it was based on as well. The soundtrack is so haunting and just suits the film so well. The track And just like that makes me slightly emotional everytime.

To contrast with that, I have been listening to Savant. I just find that his songs just stick in my head for a bit, and contrasts quite well with the relative melancholy of A Single man

My musical tastes are... varied to say the least.

After watching the trailer for The Good Dinosaur, I now have this song on my mind:
I've also been relistening to some songs that I have posted in <URL=http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/jump/18.822418.19919488>other <URL=http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/jump/18.878329.22126631>threads, including the ones I've posted <url=http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/jump/18.878663.22140145>this past week, actually... That seems to happen a lot whenever I take part in threads involving music recommendations and shit... or whenever I'm looking through my past post...

Other than that, I've been showing my mom some trap music... So far, only three songs she's heard so far she can tolerate because two were used in movie trailer TV spots and one was performed "Live" at an award show we finally saw two weeks ago...

I have listened to a lot of well known bands lately but I don't think I'd help anyone posting songs everybody already knows.

Instead, two bands I have been listening to a lot lately, discovered both on Spotify that don't seem to have significant followings.

I'm not a big fan of period specific instruments, but this is the best version of this cantata that features an organ instead of a harpsicord.

Also the editing gets mucked up around the 17 minute mark.

(don't know how to paste playlists)

For specifics:

(in order, best intro to any album I've ever heard)

As evidenced by my avatar, I simply can't get enough of the album. Kendrick Lamar became my favourite artist in a matter of weeks.

He's just damn good. Got me instantly into rap and it's like a whole new world out there for me to discover.

Specifically, good kid and m.a.a.d city(starts from 30:08) but the entire album is fantastic since it follows a narrative. Both of his works are better enjoyed in full listenings.

These past few days however, I've been getting into Arctic Monkeys thanks to a few suggestions by theneedledrop(who I subbed to after I was already crazy on Kendrick).

(been listening to the entire album in the background, so I can't pick out individual songs lol)

Way better album than AM. The latter felt overproduced, whilst this has one has actual energy to it.

I've always tried to pick up all of Katatonia's music, but I just barely bought Tonight's Decision [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xqLx8Xs8Znk], and it is marvelous.

Picked up 5th era #25 recently. Not on youtube so here's something similar:

Badass old tune from C-Tank:

And for something that people on this site might actually be remotely interested in

Still loving the faux 80s' ultracheese:

Well the intro for Telltale's Tales from the Borderlands episode 2 was absolutely fantastic so I'm still listening to it.

I also recently watch an Anime about a High School music band club called Sound Euphonium, and the soundtrack is pretty damn good, I specially like the trailer song that isn't even on the show.

Been re-listening to Mayhem's classic live album Live in Leipzig today. That album is still the best Euronymous-era recording they ever released, nothing else matches. Easily one of their top 3 best albums in general, really.
