This month, I've been obsessively listening to Joanna Newsom. Some people think her voice is terrible, but I find it both fascinating and beautiful.

In similar fashion, I've been listening to CocoRosie. "Werewolf" and "Noah's Ark" are my two personal favorites.

But the weather here is starting to get pleasantly warmer, which for some reason is when I get in the mood for louder, more energetic music, so I look forward to sharing that in April.

This month I've been listening to pretty much two bands, The Wonder Years and Crossfaith.

I really dig this one due to there frequent sound and subject changes. Varying from downright stupid, to serious, and then back to generic pop-punk stuff. Best part is that they're catchy though.

I straight up thought this band was total garbage when I listened to them a few years back. For some reason a week or so ago I felt the need to listen to their song Monolith. For some reason I loved it this time. Then I started listening to them on Spotify and learned that on their new album it is almost all clean vocals and that just makes listening to them amazing for the variety.

OT: My latest jam has been
which I found just the other day.

I've been really into "weird" media lately, things that are just new and unique to me, and I ran across them while I was searching through a Reddit thread. That's their fourth and most recent album which, I'll be honest, is the only one I particularly liked because their older stuff all has an air of "Nintendocore" to it (if you don't know what that is, you're probably better off to be honest). But that album seriously impressed me, like, moreso than anything else I've heard in the past six months or so.
You might like Astraea too, it's the last one and it's not quite as weird-for-the-sake-of-it as the earlier ones (although it's probably got the most crushingly heavy bits). Oh, and the climax of Cosmology is the best thing ever:
It's less mathcore and more sprawling prog masterpiece.

There's a new Deftones song, and it's awesome. Not sure if this album is going to be quite as good as Diamond Eyes and Koi No Yokan were, but at least they're trying to be different.

Mainly some Soul II Soul. One of the best R&B/Dance groups of the 90s. Their songs have aged like fine wine.

I listened to the first two songs on Astraea and, while I definitely found it better than their first two albums, I still wasn't quite feeling it. Might just be a case of needing to hear them more than once, though; it took me something like four years to really get into Between the Buried and Me and now they're one of my favorite bands ever.

See, this sort of thing is an example of why I think the above. XD

Whoa, wait, you know Rolo Tomassi and enjoy the Deftones' last two albums? Now I'm thinking you're just a figment of my imagination...

The last time I listened to the voices in my head, I ended up spending all of my money (like, literally) on an impulsive purchase I really didn't technically need.

I'm starting to think that none of them are actually on my side.
