Well I just got around to picking up recent albums from two of my favorite bands: Disturbed's Immortalized which is goddamn amazing from beginning to end with the possible exception of "Who"
And Five Finger Death Punch's Got Your Six which I'm actually rather disappointed with, only 3 or 4 tracks actually standing out as really good, and the whole album being quite short.

I also gave Lamb of God's Sturm Und Drang a try, but while I can appreciate the instrument work and looking up the lyrics actually revealed some stuff I can respect, I am continuously unable to get over Randy Blythe sounding like a dog with throat cancer trying to sing Slayer.

And in the "one of these is not like the others" category I also popped in Coolio's Gangsta's Paradise after I picked it up at Goodwill for 99 cents and I actualy enjoyed that way more than I expected. Why don't more people remember this guy?

Time slowly eroding my will to live like a rusted, creaking pendulum swinging slower and slower on a broken down grandfather clock.

Nah.

I can't stop listening to this.
Lord help me, I can't stop.

Disturbed's Immortalized
Ah, I'm on the same wagon. I was so stoked to hear the band got back together after the overlong hiatus, and their latest album does not disappoint. My personal favourites on the new disc are "Who Taught You How To Hate", "Legion Of Monsters" and above all "The Light".
I saw the guys are planning a North America tour to promote their new album for next spring. Here's hoping they decide to tour across Europe as well - I finally want to see one of their shows myself!
