Interesting, probably worth a listernlaikenf post=18.69022.648754 said:The Fall is NOT death metal, metal hard rock or anything even near those categories. As a matter of fact The Fall is pretty hard to categorize for their music changes a lot with every album they record. Think Talking Heads with a little Violent Femmes and a dash of Richard Hell And The Voidoids in it. Mark E. Smith (the singer) is one peculiar human being though cause he doesn't really sing, he's just basically reciting, narrating or just plain speaking out the lyrics which are usually about the unusual and crazy things that happen in life on a daily basis.
They are very good. If you're interested the best albums to start with (IMHO) is "This Nation's Saving Grace", "Grotesque" (you'll have tons of fun with that one) and "Extricate"; "Hex Enduction Hour" is really good but it's not the best to start with as is "The Wonderful and Frightening World of the Fall". I could go on but I think those are the better ones to start with (they have like 20 studio albums).scarbunny post=18.69022.648772 said:Interesting, probably worth a listernlaikenf post=18.69022.648754 said:The Fall is NOT death metal, metal hard rock or anything even near those categories.
