For me, it's finding out what's causing that massive fish/bird dieoff.
Either it'll be the indicator that the End of all Humanity has officially started, and an indicator that those 2012 assholes were RIGHT, or it'll just be the first sign that the biosphere is starting to break under the strain of supporting human civilization, and the quality of life on our good planet is going to start dropping by large increments in the coming decades.
Considering that (probably) over half the human population on the planet can't get enough to eat, that's saying a lot.
