I missed it too... <:O(

Played some Metroid Prime... for some reason I can't break 99%? This'll be my third time through the game. Third times a charm... I'm at 95% and counting.

Also played Nintendogs (unlocked Boxer pups) and my daughter's AC: WW (caught her a clownfish for her house and some others for her museum).

I've also, strangely, lost interest in Oblivion. Seems like a lot of work is required to dig out the fun. Could be the "mid-game" hump you often see in RPGs though. Still, it would take a supreme act of will to open up that case again.
Same here; I've got about 60 or so hours logged into it and I haven't picked it up in over a month or so. I still think it's a fantastic game, but at the moment I feel so disconnected from what's going on that I get the impression it would take me a few hours to reorient myself (I call it the ?oh yeah, I was doing this quest, and I have to finish this one, then have to go here, then? what was I doing again?? syndrome). Honestly, the effort to get back into the game doesn?t really seem all that inviting right now, and I might just start the game from scratch at a later time and concentrate on the main story, since I?ve mostly done sidequests right now.

Anyway, played some Thief 2 (I never get sick of those games), some Kameo and some Sudoku off Brain Age on the weekend.

I've been playing Perfect Dark Zero on the 360 and Advance Wars DS on the... well, DS. The next weekend I'm going to play at least one long sitting of Oblivion. I really like the game, but I don't want to play for short bursts, which is often the only option for me.

Today I agreed to play through Halo 2 on co-op with a friend, so that'll be in the program some weekends from now. (Nope, haven't completed it yet.)

Wait ... you played Star Wars Galaxies all weekend and you're not storming about the office ranting in E minor on the evil, vile evilness of SOE? Buh - buh - buh ... Who are you, and what have you done with Razor?

Chromehounds. I want to finish up the single-player 'training story' before I take it online.

Probably some Animal Crossing DS, Titan Quest, and Xbox Live Arcade too. Maybe some HOMM IV too, if I feel like sinking some real time into it. I'm not liking the elven scenario too much though.
Doh, meant HOMM V, which is much better than IV. Still don't like the elves though. Anyway, ended up finishing Soldier, Scout, and Commander training in Chromehounds. Then I noticed that they released [http://interviews.teamxbox.com/xbox/1546/Project-Gotham-Racing-3-Speed-Pack-Interview/p1/] the 2006 Z06 for PGR3 and spent the rest of the weekend racing.

Well, the weekend wasn't a total loss for me. I did get in some time with Armadillo Run and, of course, Mahjong Solitaire, with which my boss is apparently trying to kill me. When I start selling my socks for mahjong money, somebody please kill me.

I played a healthy dose of Daxter on my PSP and New Super Mario on my DS. Otherwise, I filled other blanks on the excellent "Weird Worlds" for PC.

I played Oblivion. I think I'm gimped. I tried to create a wicked hybrid thief/mage/warrior with jumping and telekinesis, basically a fantasy Jedi Knight. Except I suck and the higher level I get, the worse I suck. Apparently while I'm scaling up mysticism and acrobatics the monsters are scaling up kick-my-ass...

wow, so much hate for HOMM4 all over the HOMM fanbase in general. I'm probably the only one who thinks it was by far the best HOMM game. I tried the HOMM5 demo and it just felt like a more accessible, watered down Warcraft3-looking version of HOMM. HOMM for Kids. Hated it.

anyway last weekend I blasted through Prey. Some of the gimmicks were amusing, particularly the gravity stuff... but once the novelty wears out you're trapped in the typical FPS grind. You just run right up to the bad guys and shoot them. You've seen it all before. I'm still waiting for Bioshock to come out and Save the Single Player FPS World from its current stagnation.

Although one aspect of Prey that got me thinking was how it handled death. You can't die in Prey... you're just taken to this mini-game for 20 seconds before you "respawn" right where you left off. While it removes the aspect of risk from the game, it's still better than the other typical alternatives when you think about it -- quicksaving every 3 steps a la Half Life, or being forced to replay parts from a checkpoint over and over and over again a la Far Cry. Then again it's rather silly when a boss "kills" you 20 times and you just keep come right back with all your heath restored, picking up right where you left off in the battle. The bosses should be screaming "omg hax!" after your 3rd magical resurrection.

Bumping for the new weekend.

I'll be out of town for most of it, so I'll be playing Drinking in a foreign area code.

That one never gets old.

Well, HOMM4 just didn't do it for many people I suppose. The game did some things very well, but ended up disappointing many fans of the series. Of course, game tastes are highly subjective, and I certainly don't mind having lots of gameplay variation within a series...a little something for everyone, and I think it works out very well, in fact. It's not for me, though - in fact, I'll be playing HOMM3 tonight, in answer to the orignal topic of the thread :)

I'm trying, trying SO hard to enjoy Auto Assault. And I'm checking out 10 free days of World of Warcraft (I hadn't played since launch, and then I'd only used up my 30 days.) And maybe Oblivion, sigh, since I'm in it for the long haul at my pace.

Yes folks I did go ahead and necro a 3 year old thread.
I will be playing through Final Fantasy X in a single run through (without ever turning off the console) and I'm going to try to keep it under 40 hours.

...and I just came in here to shout at you. But I suppose the necro was justified.

And on-topic: I shouldn't really be playing any games as this weekend comes slap-bang in the middle of my exams, but I'll probably get round to finishing Thief: The Dark Project and Earthbound.

I was thinking of starting another thread but instead did a very serious search bar search and found this little beauty tucked in the back.

Back to some good ole Morrowind.... backing that up with some Tiberian Sun. It's nostalgia weekend.

I was also playing the free weekend of Unreal Tournament 3 on Steam... I may just be getting that.
