Actually, I do skim to see if there are any familiar or intriguing titles in the list.

It is definitely less interesting when people just post current mainstream titles, but I definitely check out all the niche titles when people post those. Off-hand recommendations from fellow gamers is the most reliable kind of news there is. I also like it for reminders about old titles I never got to play. I'm totally going to dig up some Jade Empire now that someone mentioned it here.
