Both excellent books, but I needed a change of pace.

Private Peaceful is also a brilliant book, i love headcrabs.

Currently struggling through 'The Silmarillion' by Tolkein.
Interesting but a horrible to read in large chunks.

Just finished Lord Dunsany's Time and the Gods, a masterwork with some nice atheistic subtleties, that and he has a wonderful humane touch that I've never seen emulated.

Halo Evolutions 1 and 2 and Orcs by Stan Nichols. While Halo books are always awesome Orcs is probably my favorite book I have.

I read about half of 'The Magician' last year then got bored, not of the book but reading in general and haven't read anything since.
