It's rare to find entire albums that are noteworthy. It seems that artists release singles and then an album with those and random filler songs.

This Is War - 30 Seconds To Mars

Common Dreads - Enter Shikari

Sam's Town - The Killers

QU - Sherwood

Emotionalism - The Avett Brothers

Off topic a little, but I feel like The Killers have just the right level of popularity. They are really well-known, and who hasn't heard Mr. Brightside? Yet they have't been warped by being popular and they're not overplayed on the radio or anything. Just right.

.. And I could go on.
I was unaware that so many people here had SUCH AN AWESOME TASTE when it comes to music.
I love you people <3
Well since you seem to like A Perfect Circle, I'd suggest giving some of my other fave albums a listen to as its all prog metal
I love progressive!
Will do it tomorrow :)

I'll be choosing based on the strength of the album as a whole so it's likely i'll miss albums with songs I love purely because some of the songs on it weren't as good as i'd like. For example 'Agaetis Byrjun' by 'Sigur Ros' is my favourite song and yet the album of the same name won't be making the list because a couple of the songs whilst still good aren't that amazing to me.

So, in no particular order:

Mar - The Sound (The second album of the band that introduced me to post-rock music, I love each and every song)

And So I Watch You From Afar - Gangs (Really good music, Search:party:Animal [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NgAXpsFyYrM] and Lifeproof [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vSktQtG7SjU] are my favourites but they're all good)

And So I Watch You From Afar - Letters (It's only four songs long but they're all great, particularly the last one [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VUXUfAp3kEA].)

Mogwai - Hardcore Will Never Die But You Will (All great songs and the second disk has a track [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eoVRxNmcDSo] which caught me off guard. Also the name rocks)

Two Steps From Hell - Illusions (Epic [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JNOpKwnAQyw], no, im pretty sure that's what this type of music is called.)

1 : Fightstar : Grand Unification (Very first album i bought for myself, first album I ever learned to sing all the way through. Drunk, stoned, or a combination of the two)
2 : Pear Jam : Ten (Well, do I really need to say anything about this?)
3 : Elbow : Asleep in the back (All their albums deserve to be on this list, but if I have to choose 1, this is it)
4 : Busted : A present for everyone (Okay, this is trashy pop, I'll admit. But it is the best godamn trashy pop you'll ever hear. Lot's of nostalgia in it for me)
5 : Gaslight Anthem : The '59 Sound. (This album works far better than any of the individual songs suggest)

This is mighty difficult, and i've actually been thinking for a good amount of time about this. While i probably missed a few glaringly obvious choices in my mind, this is what i've come up with :)

Nirvana - Nevermind
Gorillaz - Demon Days
Beck - Mellow Gold
De La Soul - 3 Feet High and Rising
Beastie Boys - Ill Communication
Good choices brother, especially Beck and Nirvana.
Thankyou :) ive always been very happy with my taste in music, eclectic.

Good choice, even if I hold 'Paul's Boutique' in higher regards.
It came down to those two albums, but i had to choose it simply because 'sure shot' is my favourtie song by them :)

I feel like I'm kind of out of the loop when it comes to music. I feel like there are so many great artists I just never got around to listening to. I could now, but, eh. But, from what I do listen to, in no order, my top 5 are...

Blink-182 - Take Off Your Pants and Jacket
Alkaline Trio - Goddamnit
Avenged Sevenfold - City Of Evil
Dream Theater - Metropolis Pt. 2: Scenes From a Memory
System Of A Down - Hypnotize/Mezmerize

And the obligatory honorable mentions...

Flight Of The Conchords - Flight Of The Conchords
30 Seconds To Mars - This Is War
My Chemical Romance - Danger Days: The True Lies of the Fabulous Killjoys
Rush - Hemispheres
They Might Be Giants - Flood

4. We Came As Romans - Understanding What We've Grown To Be

3. August Burns Red - Leveler

2. Periphery - Periphery

1. A Day To Remember - What Separates Me From You
