What Are You Worried About in Gaming in '09

Mine is that they either A)keep on giving teasers for Bioshock 2 but don't release the game till like '10 OR it does arrive, i eagerly buy the game, and it turns out it got the Sequel Curse, i.e. programmers got lazy and did the same game, but worse.

Also, the Champions online won't work on my laptop.

It's not really a worry, but I'll probably quit gaming this year.

The only thing I'm hopeful for is the new Riddick game. Otherwise I'll attend law school and forget about anything except studies and writing for something. Oh, and swimming. Yum.

True. As soon as I heard God of War mobile, I immediately thought, "Holy Christ we're f***ed"

I also fear that the DLC for Fallout 3 on the PS3 won't come out.
Damn Sony for making me back the wrong race-horse.

My main concern is that Spike TV's video game awards will continue to be the definitive recognition of the industry's accomplishments, to the grave consternation of everyone in the industry. Seriously folks, can't we do better?

As with it was last year, this year seems like another year of sequels with very few original games coming out. It'll also be a heavy year for DLC in general.

That's my prediction.

It probably won't be, but it'll be an entertaining romp all the same.

And it'll be online! But not in arcades. Damn you, failing American arcade industry.

Anyways, I'm worried about the fact that I've only got a Wii and a computer with a horrible video card. And all the good games are coming out for every console but the Wii. But that's not much of a surprise, is it?

I'm worried that Microsoft will cock up Windows 7 and that DRM will continue to get worse. My interest in gaming is hanging on by a thread.

That and DoW2 will be a waste of money. But I don't think so.
