I'm worried that people will complain so much about every game that I won't be able to enjoy a single one of them. Its pretty much what happened with '08.

My biggest worry is that Valve won't announce anything about Half-Life 2: Ep. 3, but release a Left 4 Dead 2 (shudder).

That people will keep going about piracy like they did with Spore.

Seriously, making the legal version of a game less appealing than the pirated version doesn't help.
Spore sucked...it made me sad.

Mine is that they either A)keep on giving teasers for Bioshock 2 but don't release the game till like '10 OR it does arrive, i eagerly buy the game, and it turns out it got the Sequel Curse, i.e. programmers got lazy and did the same game, but worse.
Agreed, although i'm scared that a)everything that comes out this year will be crappy sequels, or b)all that comes out for the 360 will be DLC.

That they'll somehow find a way to fuck up the new Riddick game.

Or that somehow, Brutal Legend will get delayed for a year.

Games seem to be loosing the fun, I'm worried developers are trying to hard to make things "pretty" and "hardcore" and the result is a frustrating and bad game that's "grim" and "gritty" More Difficult does not = fun

I have a few worries.

1. Operation Flashpoint 2 will be terribly dumbed down for the console version (eg. Regenerating health, taking more than two hits before dying and Motion trackers), meaning that I will have to buy the PC version, which will not run very fast (if at all) on my computer.

2. Battlestations: Pacific will still not have fixed the problems that were rampant in Battlestations: Midway, such as the ability to steer ships through mountains.

3. Empire: Total War will not be able to run on my computer.

In breaking news, the PC game industry has been rocked by the following events:

TOP STORY: Duke Nukem Forever finally gets shipped, amidst outcry from its publicity strategy. George Broussard admits that following John Romero's former ad agency's strategy of using controversial phrases in its ads was "a horrible, horrible mistake."

Call of Duty: Duty Calls released.

Blizzard announces the next expansion to its much-touted Massively Multiplayer Online franchise, World of Warcraft, "The Burning Frozen Crusade of Epicness Involving Some Kind of Icy Chair." Development is expected to last 2 years and add 3 more hours of content for the most elite of elite hardcore, and the level cap is expected to be raised to 90.

That Mass effect 2 is as crap as the first one.
Fixed.

Okay, that's not exactly my full opinion. My first playthrough of Mass Effect was some of the most memorable gameplay I've ever had the pleasure of experiencing. It wasn't until my second game that I realized all the flaws, e.g. all Biotic powers amounting to 'Hey, here's another way you can use the physics engine!', squad customization that defines whole new genres in tedium, planet exploration sucking the fat one and so on.
