Another year. Another E3. Another year for announcement. now lets talk about E3 2017. E3 2015 was best I have ever seen this gen due to its opening with bathesda conference by showing Doom. best opening ever.

but what about this year E3?

What i want is

Doom sequel announcement - Bathesda getting own press conference. they have released dishonored 2, and PREY will release before E3. so what else is left? they need to announce Doom sequel. but most likely will announce new order sequel which would be dissapointing.

New Metro Game - 4A has been teasing it since year. a Sandbox Metro game that feel like STALKER. They are most likely going to announce this year E3 with 2018 release date

System shock (remake) and 3 - As far as im concern they may tease system shock 3 but not official gameplay however they should show gameplay footage of system shock remake.

Hitman Season 2 - Hitman is back with blast. cant wait for season 2 to conclude the story. im 100 percent sure it will announce this year.

There can be more if something will get announce prior to E3.

I also wanted Valve to show what SP project they are working on but i doubt it will be on E3. valve never attend E3.

so what are your wishlist? discuss

NightDive Studios seem far too small of a company to be blantantly teasing any game at E3. E3 from my experience is mostly large publishers and indie devs being supported by large publishers, not small studios that mostly dabble in revitalizing nostalgic games. I wouldn't count on anything for System Shock being at E3 at all.

I'd also be astounded if anything regarding another Doom game is talked about at all considering DOOM was just released barely a bloody year ago.

Now a new Metro game on the other hand, whether it's a game in a similar vein to Metro, or a simple sequel, I'd be excited to see that. I know 4A have been working on something the past couple years that's been talked about.

New Ape Escape.

New Onimusha, but in the style of the first and second game.

Footage of REmake 2 in the classic style.

A revamped Ratchet and Clank. This series needs to change things up, because it is getting really stale. The gamepay needs to get sorted out to make it faster and not just feel like you're strafing around 95% of the time. Give it weapon combos where you're juggling multiple guns at a time. And the characters need to go back to being funny and stop being 'cringey, kid friendly' funny.

I wanna see more of the new Shin Megami Tensei but that seems unlikely.

Whatever From Soft might be cooking up right now would be fun to see. Their next game is likely to be another Souls-like but I really enjoy those games so I'm okay with that. I actually sort of hope there isn't one this year, though, they seem to be making them annually and that's going to affect quality.

Interested in what that new Quake is gonna be like.

Maybe an Elder Scrolls 6 reveal?

Maybe some more info on CD Projekt's Cyberpunk?

What I really want to see is brand new things though. I'm hoping against hope for fewer open world games. I'm hoping we see some interesting new horrors, RPGs and character action games.

Well, I guess these hopes could apply to anything, but fine, "hopes" that have a chance, however small, of being met:

-Advance Wars 5

-Golden Sun 4

-Halo 6 (I'm actually quite confident that this will at least be teased at this year's E3)

-Marathon remake (though I wouldn't be surprised if it's been scrapped by now)

-A new Metroid game (2D preferably)

-Perfect Dark 3 (well, Microsoft does need to flout its own IPs, so...)

-Sonic 2017 is fleshed out, is confirmed as a sequel to Sonic Chronicles, and my old love of the franchise is reignited

-Spyro the Dragon is made independent from Skylanders and given his own game (...because of the principle, even if I doubt I'd play it)

And obligatory brand new things and whatnot. And, I admit, I'm always curious as to what this year's Call of Duty will be, even if it's more academic than anything else.

I really want to see what ThatGameCompany is working on. It's been 5 years since Journey and the image they put up for their new game a while back says 2017.

Some other games I'd love to see (but most definitely not happening) are The Darkness III, a Demon's Souls remaster, and at this point anything SP from Valve.

Metroid Prime 4, F-Zero and a 2017 confirmed release date for Xenoblade Chronicles 2.

otherwise i just want PS4 to actually give us some games besides Crash Bandicoot n-sane trilogy to actually make the system worth owning.

For people to realize that E3 is a pointless, masturbatory excuse for all these companies to pat themselves on the back and show trailers that are in no way indicative of what the finished products are going to be

failing that, I guess a new Metroid would be cool (so long as they don't pull an "Other M" again)

This, except replace 'PS4' with 'the Switch' and 'Crash Bandicoot N-Sane Trilogy' with 'nothing'.

New action-rpg by from software(preferably a sequel to Bloodborne). New Shinji Mikami survival-horror game(tew 2 would be cool). Gameplay footage for Death Stranding.

Not holding my breath for any news regarding the remakes of RE2 and FF7. Really looking forward to those games but they still seem light years away from release.

Have you played Nioh? The game reminds me of a mix between Souls, Bloodborne, Ninja Gaiden Sigma and Onimusha. Absolutely phenomenal game btw.

Valve is too lazy to make games now that steam earned them a fortune.

I'm a bit on the fence about that one. I played that first beta and I couldn't really get into it. I know that they've tweeked it ever since then and removed the weapon degradation, but I'm still not sure. Also, I've kinda been tapped out on Souls enthusiasm ever since Dark Souls 3.

The whole samurai vs. monsters is giving me a nice Onimusha vibe though, so I will probably pick it up at some point.

It's been quite some time since the last Splinter Cell so I'd like to see that announced. Although, I'm equally afreaid Ubisoft will unveil it as a big open world "stealth" game full of grizzled delta force guys with M4s.

For Nintendo not to fucking Blow it. Stop treating some franchises like your bastard children. Granted I think Mother kind is one, since that is a second party game

Gaben said on Reddit that they're working on a new single player game. If you were head of Valve, would you not make some of your employees create games so that you can make even more money?
Maybe something low-key but obviously if their intent was to still make games they would have done so by now. Their last single player game is like what? Some HL2 dlc over a decade ago? They probably reason that there is no need for the risky endeavour of AAA game development anymore now that steam prints them money.

I haven't played the demo only the final game so I don't know what changes they made, but the game definitely leans more on Onimusha and Ninja Gaiden than Souls. Nioh has the depth and complexity of the combat in Ninja Gaiden but slows down the quick pace to Onimusha levels and then add the tactical approach to combat as Souls. It's a mix that works surprisingly well and one I find thorougly engaging. It's also an incredible loot grind with an absolute ton of items, armor and weapons to choose from. Then there are also different stances and abilities to pick(like mage or ninja) adding even more depth to the combat.

The story is actually really enjoyable as well. I love the fictionalized take on the beginning of the Tokugawa era and a lot of items come with descriptions that are a lot of fun to read. It's rare that a game has put so much effort into pretty much every facet of it's design.

Also I love how short the loading times are. The levels are kept deliberately small with no huge world to load so the trial and error never gets frustrating. When you die there is pretty much no loading and you are immediately back into the action.

splinter cell has not been good since chaos theory that was released in 2005. since then it become action games.
