Duh, it'll be Super Mario Bros. 2. It wins every year.BloatedGuppy said:OP lacks ambition. We should be trying to get a jump on the 2019 GOTY Awards.
I did enjoy making Matrix like movies with it. I'd add in unnecessary jumps and camera pans. As someone who played the beta, I expected a lot more campaign, and a slightly better story. (The story is fine, it's just not my taste.) It's short and sweet, and will give you a headache if you play endless mode for four hours and then try living in real time again. I liked it, and keep in mind I'm a thrifty person, I really didn't feel comfortable paying full price, but then again I did play half of it in the beta.Chimpzy said:I've been following SUPERHOT [footnote]I just like writing it this way. SUPER! HOT! SUPER! HOT! So weirdly catchy[/footnote] since the original gamejam version, even donated to its Kickstarter[footnote]Only time I've ever done so[/footnote], and while the full game is not an earthshattering revelation, its 'time only moves when you do' schtick is a genuinely refreshing take on time manipulation mechanics.distortedreality said:Is this actually any good?
And most of all, it's fun. Figuring out the quickest, most efficient method of beating a level can be really satisfying. Especially in the endless mode, where after having survived for a long time, I've gotten cold sweat trying to think myself out of some desperate situations. It's also really neat to then see yourself do it at full speed when you eventually die.
I feel watching someone else play SUPERHOT doesn't really sell the game. IMO it's one of those games you have to play for yourself. The reviews I've read make it sound pretty cool, haven't had a chance to watch any gameplay though.... Would like to hear your thoughts on it!
If you want, you can still play the prototype here [http://superhotgame.com/play-prototype/]. Should give you a solid idea on whether you like the core mechanic and want to play an expanded version of it.
What, you didn't beat Sif from behind your back without looking at the screen? What R U casul?RedRockRun said:I'm thinking Dark Souls 3 because of the fandom alone.

Yeah, you read that right. 2017. With a seven on the end.
Seems they're not making an AC game for 2016 apparently, but whichever one they release in 2017 is going to be so good that it will retroactively and unanimously declared GOTY for 2016 as well.
I obviously haven't played it yet and know nothing about it but that's not going to stop me from pre-preemptively declaring it mankind's greatest work. The prestigious brand name and amazing amounts of talent involved make it a sure thing!
My prediction for 2025 GotY is Half Life 4.BloatedGuppy said:OP lacks ambition. We should be trying to get a jump on the 2019 GOTY Awards.
Wait, I thought 2025 GoTY would be Half Life 12: Gritty Ultra Realistic Reboot, after Gaben snaps and starts releasing yearly instalments after being driven mad by all the questions about HL3.Silvanus said:My prediction for 2025 GotY is Half Life 4.BloatedGuppy said:OP lacks ambition. You're right. It seems like the hype-machine either has another victim, or someone's shilling hard. I just checked and it seems this user has been flooding the forums with threads that are either shallow praise of some game that may or may not have been released yet, shallow criticism of some game that may or may not have been released yet, or baseless speculation and prediction.Hawki said:Looks at list.
Huh. Every one of them is a game you've previously created a thread for to sing the praises of, and are only for a select few genres at that.
Don't worry, I can accept that as a coincidence. 0_0
I'm pretty sure a real shill would use decent grammar, among other things.FirstNameLastName said:... or someone's shilling hard.
