So who are your favorite artist and songs that dont need lyrics to be great?

any genre or instrument really: rock, metal, classical; violin, piano, guitar.

Ones that come to mind for me are Yanni, Yo-Yo Ma, and Antonio Vivaldi. If Yanni composed my life well id just be fine with that. Songs like The Storm by Yanni make me feel like a cowboy who just found out who killed my fine ass hoe and now im at full sprint in his base killing all his guys to exact revenge, its completely bad ass and epic in every way. Other songs I like are The Crusade by Trivium, La Villa Strangiato and YYZ by Rush, Fisherman's Wharf by CKY, Ave Maria by Franz Schubert and just so much more.

Lyrics are really over rated and are not needed to make good music, who needs them when you've got enough skill.

If you've played Music Catch you should recognize it.

John 5
Steve Vai
Joe Satriani

I love their music. John has the dark, scary metal combined with enlightening country music. Vai has that sweet melancholic sound that'd make a jaded musician cry a river. And Satriani has that funky, cheerful song writing.

Anesthesia (Pulling teeth) by Metallica. Or more like the dead bassist Cliff Burton. Amazing bass solo. Beats all instrumentals I can think of.

Wizards In Winter by Trans-Siberian Orchestra. Its still awesome even though it feels like a Christmas song.

My personal favourite is the guy that did the music for The Shawshank Redemption, Thomas Newman.
If anyone hasn't listened to the song "So Was Red" it's one of the greatest peices of music i've ever listened to.

Shame on you guys for not mentioning Mendelssohn. Seriously, the guy was awesome.

Don't believe me? 1812 Overture.

It has cannons!
