What are your favorite kind of fighting game characters?

I'm your friend for life for posting up an Urban Reign video...OMG. I need to get a used PS2 slim to play that again, cuz I still have the game, just no system. Yes, I hope NamDai dust it off someday but HOWEVER...I call challenge on it being the greatest brawler of all time, because Streets Of Rage.

On topic: I'm more of a guy for aesthetics. I like characters that are visually appealing. It's what I call the "shallow" selection system. I hate intentionally "ugly" characters. (OH MY GOD I'M FUCKING CLAW RIGHT NOW!!!) [footnote]"Claw" is the universal FGC term used for the Spanish ninja boss character in the Street Fighter series, since depending on region he's named either Vega or Balrog. You already know why that is.[/footnote] So I tend to gravitate towards the more attractive female characters and bad ass males. I get behind them regardless of their style and learn to use them.

Streets of Rage was excellent. No comparison to Urban Reign though- which takes everything that makes a brawler great and then some. I mean...wrestling, boxing, kung fu, karate, capoeira, muy thai, military styles, street fighting, an amazing Japanese sword style, Paul and Martial Law?? C'mon now... Whereas Streets of Rage borrowed from games that came before it successfully, no other game has topped Urban Reign. The next game that comes along with better combat than Urban Reign - I'll pay full price for that game.

LOL, as to the "shallow selection system" I'm not mad at'cha. If you can make it work, then work it!
