So, considering this is the Escapist, it's probably not unreasonable to assume that the majority of the people here are gamers, either hardcore or casually.

So, besides the one thing that pretty much all of us have in common, what other hobbies/interests do you pursue?

At the moment, my primary hobby is pretty much collecting Transformers. I've only been on it for less than a year, but I've already amassed a small horde of plastic robots (I think my collection is somewhere in the range of 100, not counting toys from my childhood that I don't display).

I'm also a bit of a budding movie buff, and I'm a huge fan of superheroes in all their forms (although I actually don't own that many comic books.)

I watch and review lots of movies.

That's, like, it.

I guess golf counts as a hobby. That's fun.

Anime and Boxing. I'm alot louder about the boxing though. For awhile I did fencing, but I grew out of it.

Fencing (at country competition level), technical theatre (at am-dram level), and writing short fiction (at no particular level).

Currently I'm also using my spare time to write code for a video game (literally just write the code - other people are doing the art, design, project management, etc.) but as I code for a living too, it doesn't really seem like a hobby.

I play Magic the Gathering, read, and play a little guitar, but my main hobby (after gaming) is writing.

I've had a smattering of my poems published and I plan to have a poetry collection together before i leave college.

I would like to take up the martial arts again, but i just haven;t had the spare time and/or money at the same time.

Reading, playing guitar (well learning to play), self study (Japanese is my project at the moment been at it a few months), Martial arts (mainly Karate), watching films/anime/tv shows, occasionally I like to spend a few weeks coming up with different card game concepts, walking (but only if theres a purpose I hate just walking I like walking to do something). I used to play a fair bit of magic and design a load of decks as well but that sort of died as no one plays it around here so I couldnt test out my creations, so many things to do so little time and yet here I am wasting it anyway. Oh and of course hanging out with my friends usually down the pub if that counts as a hobby (and according to my CV it does).

Well photography though I'm not sure if it counts since I tend to delete most of my pictures, and even the ones I keep I never show to anybody, uhm, well exploring, by that I just mean walking around anywhere admiring the scenery I spend a lot of time doing that, used to ride bicycle but after having 4 of them stolen I have decided to give that up.

I bang on my drums whenever I can.
Occasionally I'll take walks, write a bit or clean.
I know the last one isn't really a hobby but it has a calming effect on me and thus I tend to do it a lot.

I used to be the captain of a bowling team. Did the county & National tournaments a few times, got my team's names in as the first entry on one of the trophies they keep on display at the bowling center. I've no proper mode of transport at the moment though so I can't keep it going. In that way it's just like Airsoft, except with that there's the problem of finding a day when everyone's not busy.

I play Football (Europe) a few times a week, it's not in a club (I quit a few months ago afte about 13 years) but with friends 2 times a week.
I also go to the gym 3 or 4 times a week. During weekends I drink, it's been a while since I didn't so I guess that could be counted as a hobby.
Otherwise nothing much, hang out with pals and work until I go stydying.

I do:

- Archery.
- Lots of reading.
- Watch TV shows/anime and lots of movies.
- I dabble in RPG's; currently playing a D&D campaign and I'll be trying out Call of Cthulu this friday.
- I include going to conventions. Only started doing that recently but good gods I love it.

That's about it. I might go back to the gym when I get my drivers license. I'd also like to pick up a musical instrument.

I read quite a bit, watch a lot of tv/movies, and listen to music often. I like writing as well, but I don't do it often.

I've always wanted to get into board games/rpg's. But through a combination of not knowing anyone who would play and being about a half an hour drive from the nearest city, I have not yet done so.
