Like in real life, I save unless I see something really fancy I want, or until I have enough to buy 100 of everything. Still waiting for the latter to happen in real life.

However, in Fallout 3 I spend most of my caps on stimpaks whenever I can, after buying all of the drugs and alchohol there is to buy, of course.

I never buy healing items because I AM THAT DAMN GOOD!!! Instead I spend all my hard earned money on joke items or a sword that is infinitesimally better and then have to spend hours out in the wilderness again to accrue the same amount of wealth. I also get something better 10 minutes after buying the item causing me to pop all the blood vessels in my head, due to rage. I finally have to unload all the garbage from my inventory, I see a better item, buy it and then rinse repeat. The cycle continues.

This makes in game shops pretty useless if you ask me, from a game design viewpoint, how would you make your shopping experience more memorable?

Disgaea had customer loyalty program

Think in FF12 the monsters don't drop gil? You have to sell the raw meat or something?

In Oblivion, I only really sell. No buying of anything aside from spells, and perhaps useless clothing items. All the money I make is from selling loot.

In Mass Effect... actually, that's the same thing. Although, I don't sell 'everything', most stuff gets turned into gel.
