I never push communal buttons (elevators, crossings etc.) with my finger, I use my elbow! It can look pretty silly sometimes, but I can?t not do it!
I just got this image of you typing with your elbows in a net cafe for some reason... =p

If I'm eating smarties (brightly coloured chocolate candies) I have to tip them out onto a plate and separate them into colours; then count how many are in each pile and eat any excess smarties until there's the same number of smarties in each pile. After that I eat one smarty from each colour pile, so there's always an equal amount in each pile, until they're all gone.

And I have no idea why.

If I've made a call on the house phone shortly before going to bed, I will inevitably get out of bed after 15 minutes of fretting to make sure I hung up properly. When I lived in a house with a gas cooker, I would do the same thing regarding that.

Coffee, cigarette, check the sites on my bookmark bar which will have updated.

That's about it, I think.

I have plenty of quirks in my behaviour, but they're not quite as ritualised as that.

Hmm... I've got plenty of things that I just do out of habit.

For example, every time I turn on my computer I'll start playing guitar, and I'll generally forget that I turn it on until I've played two or three songs (not very useful for when people come over to my house, sometimes they get impatient).

Open XCode.
Try to figure out what the code I wrote several months ago is supposed to do.
Close XCode.

Before I eat breakfast, I weigh myself, measure my waist (to see if my body fat percentage has increased/decreased), and write down the results. (I've been trying to get a six-pack for a while). Then I usually do a quick workout (enough to tire me out, but not enough to make me sweat and have to shower) consisting of burpees, pushups, and a leg exercise (not sure of the name) where I sit down, bring my knees to my chest, extend them straight out, and repeat.

I also update personal records I've been keeping (like how much I eat, how much money I spend, when I'm supposed to renew my driver's license/credit card/etc., where and when I've applied for jobs) on a USB stick.

And after every time I eat, I reset the timer on my stop watch and start it again. I try to space out my meals so that I eat every 3-4 hours. That way when I eat, it's because I actually need food, as opposed to "I just ate an hour ago but there's food nearby and thinking about food makes me want to eat so OMNOMNOM."

I must get up before my alarm goes off. I wake up and stay in bed and just before it goes off I turn it off and get up. I hate the sound of my alarm. No matter what it is even if I like the song.
I do the exact same thing! I always wake up before my alarm, wait until it's a minute before and then switch it off!

When I had glasses I'd push them up my nose on the bridge every time I'd walk past someone or through a doorway. And then when I didn't have glasses I'd do the same thing but just poke myself between the eyes.

Every day before I leave my house I must have: knife, multi-tool, sunglasses. Pretty much regardless of everything else I'll always have these things.

The cat and I have a ritual. She has to come and get me to watch her eat, and she's a rare sort that likes to be petted while that happens.

Whenever I come home from anywhere the first thing I have to do is wash my hands with lots of soap and then I go to greet the dogs, and if I've been on public transport I have to change clothes before I sit on my bed

Aside from typical personal hygiene rituals before bed, I get a glass of water for beside my bed, and after I've turned the lights off, I peek through my blinds and focus on the leaves on the neighbour's trees to feel like I'm helping my eyes retain their ability to focus on things in the distance, and not ruining them by staring at a screen. I generally end up drinking 1/4th of the water that night, and then the rest some time the next morning.

I always have to eat my food in a certain order. Doesn't matter what order, but I have to.

Usually I go side dish, fruit/vegetable, main course, and finish up with drink. Can't mix and match.

I also always have to listen to at least one Beatles song a day, but I usually overdue that... by like 50 songs.
