I am not expecting anything good, unless they have been keeping quiet about some really awesome games. They and microsoft have been awfully quiet lately and I just se that as a bad thing unless they pull some really awesome game out for the masses. Sony is the only one that can expect a good show from, given the number of announcements of the past few months. I would not normally scoff at Nintendo but I really do just expect them to be lackluster and showing nothing of interest to the core gamers, just more gimmicky shit.

"In an effort to reach the sweet, sweet market we missed out on during the last console generation, we're going to continue with our 'New Play Control!' line of games by porting every Gamecube game ever made to the Wii.

*cue video of someone playing Viewtiful Joe WITH A WIIMOTE OMG*

Oh, and we're making Pikmin. Really. That is all."

Probably new Mario or so. I don't think Zelda is quite ready to show off just yet, but we've known that Tokyo EAD are working on a Galaxy sequel for a while. I also expect to see Pikmin 3 or something along those lines.

Nintendo has already stated that their main focus will be on "games," which most likely means Spirit Tracks, WiiSports Resort, and games that will utilize the Wii MotionPlus. Of course, you never know with Nintendo; for we all know, they'll announce that they've genetically engineered living Pikmin, and they'll be available in plant shops worldwide soon.

I'd like to see a non-Metroid game from Retro Studios.

I loves me some Metroid, but Retro should be allowed to do something else, while one of Nintendo's internal studios works on a 2D sequel to Metroid Fusion.

Well, they did have that Pikmin flower created a couple of years back...

Does it even matter. If you are a hardcore gamer Nintendo does not really make much of anything for you, and I am pretty sure they don't really want you when they can practically print money with casual gamers.

That someone will embarrass themselves on stage...
Probably when they announce another Zelda game and from the audience there's just complete and utter silence.
Yeah, since Zelda has never been successful or even popular by any means.

Edit: And by BIG changes and awesome games you mean...?
That's my point...it HAS BEEN successful. You can't keep telling a good story without people getting bored of hearing it.

And by big changes and awesome games I mean, and write this down:
"Big changes...and awesome...games"
What do you mean by it HAS BEEN successful? It still is to this day - at least on the big consoles, every single one was a huge success; even Wind Waker, which was hated by many due to the art design. People love it (personally, I think rightfully so, although they could change the overall concept of mastering dungeons, collecting tools etc. but at least they do it extremely well)

Thanks for repeating yourself, but I was wondering what big changes and what awesome games Microsoft has announced in the last years. The last big announcement of theirs was Xbox Live, which is no innovation nor a big change, just a well executed online service.

I'm not trying to flame you, I'm just trying to figure out what you are talking about, because I'm all open for the new and fresh.

I really want a new Zelda (Spirit Tracks does... not... count!) and Golden Sun 3 would be sweet. But to be honest, as much as I bleedin' well ADORE so much Nintendo stuff, I think I'll be placing my faith elsewhere. Shame really...

Massive dissapointment, and me getting that bit closer to selling my Wii.

I'm a realist, I'm expecting to be thoroughly disappointed; by all three big ones.

After last year I'm just hoping Nintendo and MS try to excite a few gamers over the age of 10.
Backing the wrong horses there buddy.
I know better than to back any "horses" at this point. I just want to stay awake.

A new Zelda we already knew about, Mario mini game compendium, possibly another Starfox game farmed out to some no name developer who's going to try and 'reinvent' the franchise in 'new and exciting' ways AGAIN, more mini game compendiums, a whole bunch of Wii re-releases of Gamecube games (I'm thinking Starfox Adventures, Windwaker, Mario sunshine since they're the only ones that haven't been announced for a remake yet).

I want to see a new metroid prime in the making. Doesn't even have to be "Prime", but still that same feel. And the Wii-ports of the first two don't really count, although I CANNOT wait until they're released in the US.

I was going to put a comic of Pikmin running at somebody tied to the floor with a knife, but I can't find it. Think Gulliver's Travels...

I predict an interminably long meandering stage show featuring people that, while no doubt skilled at making games, have the charisma, charm, and eloquence of a drugged manitee (and often, the looks of one too.) Still, its one up on Microsofts little stage lectures. They feel like being in a health and saftey seminar at work...

Well that last part is good to know, at least now I can calm my posts. It's just a knee-jerk response with the amount of flame I seem to get.
Aaaanyway when I say 'has been' successful I don't exactly mean it still isn't. I mean it just might not be if they keep up re-releasing Zelda. That being said they've already got away with it countless times.
Ok, I'll put my hands up there, I don't know of any awesome games per se. I suppose the last announcement by MS was the improved LIVE and that wasn't exactly massive.

I know what you're talking about but I'm keeping up hope that both companies are going to announce some nice stuff, since both of them - as already has been said - have been pretty quiet lately.
