My favourite Bioware title (even though what follows may make it seem otherwise).
For reference; I like the first part of the Mass Effect trilogy best, of the three.
Combat is real-time.
Character "creation" is more character "selection".
Being a bioware title; it is an essentially linear affair and yes: it's the hero's journey.
Environments and people can be rather sterile, bland and "scale-model-ly" in presentation, but you can sort of "feel" the intention behind them.
Get prepared to be somewhat annoyed with how the in-world language, that was developed for the game, is left pretty much unused, and the NPCs who speak it are insted looping: "wiir wiir woowoowiiir", over and over.
The Closed Fist philosophy is is not evil per se -- It's a matter of not helping somebody by fixing their problems
for them, but to force them to stand up for
themselves, and if they get curbstomped; then they deserved it for being so weak, as far as you are concerned -- It is the Ayn Rand of Wushu, which admittedly is evil enough, in my book, but others will see things differently.
