Hello,

So my friends, Titanfall 2 is a pretty good game for single player point of view despite being short. each and every mission is varied and very cleverly design from wall running, to puzzle solving. for a game known for its MP. i think they did very good job for its SP campaign even more so than MP. that make me believe its primilary SP game.

I rate it 8/10.

what are your thoughts?

Not enough third person linear open-world health-regenerating gameplay with chest-high walls to hide behind every 3 ft. I give it a -69/100

I saw a couple gameplay videos. It looks pretty incredible. It's on sale now for $20. However, I'm reluctant to buy it even on sale because there's barely 2k players on the PC. It's a failed game, dead on arrival. Not because it lacks in quality, but because EA is run by greedy fuckin' retards. They released Titanfall 2 right between Battlefield 1 and CoD, thinking that gamers will buy it despite the game having virtually no marketing behind it. EA's focus was entirely on Battlefield 1. The game sold three times less than the original despite being probably three times better than the original. A shame, really.

Never played it, but i've heard good things about SP which shocks me because it's an online MP game.

It's a great game, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I've just been a little tired of the future setting, so I've been enjoying MWR and R6:S more.

its actually SP game market as MP game. its SP is much better than its MP.

Meeeeeh.

Level design and gameplay didn't make enough use of the movement options. It's usually easier and more effective to just walk around shotgunning everyone in the face like any other shooter.

The "titan" part of Titanfall 2 is boring as shit. You just stand there plugging away at enemy health bars. The strategy boils down to "use the defensive ability when the enemy uses a big thing" and "pick up health when your health gets low".

Setting is shallow and the story is boring and barely even there. Main character is Blandy McBland. They repeat essentially the same joke over and over again. Human says something ironic, robot takes it literally. Gives a chuckle the first five times or so, gets oldby the fortieth instance.

I'm just talking about the single player here. The multiplayer is virtually dead. Almost impossible to find a game in Australia.

The singleplayer seemed to take some nose-dives not that far in. There was the test-village factory place that was neat, and the time-hop level. Then it started sliding. The crane place was awful. Some would class that as a "puzzle", but there was no explored potential of multiple options. Just holding a bunch of levers to move things in a strictly binary solution.

The whole last act kind of falls flat on its face, other then the obligatory Titans vs Titans assault. They go for the "Oh no, BT's dead" too many times for it to have any impact. Along with the level where they just give you the one-hit kill aimbot gun.

Single Player is good in the sense of 'hey they actually put some effort into this', though it doesn't really do anything new or astounding. Titan combat is pretty 'meh' single-player since you just end up fighting other titans the whole time, so you never really feel big and powerful. Story... existed, and the robot having some character was nice, but nobody else had any character so it's a little jarring going form him to Bland Antagonist #112106. Also really could've made more use of the wall-running aspect of the game, it really just felt like an elaborate way for the level designers to not put bridges everywhere. 6/10 because hey, at least they tried.

Multiplayer was ok, but the problem was the pace was just... too fast. Both pilots and Titans were made out of tissue paper. It was very easy to drop in and lose huge chunks of HP because someone sniped your Titan from half-way across the map. And while spawn times were nice and quick, spawn locations were fucking awful - half the time I'd spawn in on a pack of enemy titans, and it'd take 8 more deaths before the game realized it should drop me on my ally halfway across the map instead. The mobility system was also really awkwardly placed, since half of the maps didn't really have any way to really make use of it, and the other half it was awkward to stomp around as a titan due to limited space. The 'last stand/extraction' thing at the end of the matches was fun though. 5/10, better than CoD Infinite Warfare, at least.

Single player was fun, but I feel like it could have done a bit more. It was sorta open but at the same time not really open enough. Gun choices seem a bit superfluous - too many variants of similarly performing automatic shooters.

The wallrunning bits made me clench my ass. I would rather the wallrunning be more of an option in combat rather than predominantly used for 'platforming' sections.

Titan parts were kinda dull. Kinda felt like I was playing a clunky version of Overwatch. Managing those cooldowns and reloads.

Titanfall 2 so linear. Look at System Shock map. Now look at Titanfall 2 map. Too linear. Needs less linear. Discuss.

See, this is surprising coming from you, B-Cell.

I don't mean offense, but I thought that things like ADS, regenerating health, mostly linear levels, and story heavy campaigns weren't really your cup of tea.

OT: I thought the game was fantastic. Shooting feels great, wall-running feels great, and the SP level design was good at worst, and utterly spectacular in its inventiveness at best.

Pilot vs Titan feels a little clunkier than in TF1, and the MP maps are nowhere near as good as in the first game, either, but pilot and titan classes are a welcome change, and I still jump into a game or two fairly regularly.
Should probably give it a second playthrough.
