Well discuss bands/artists that you think aren't nearly as good as they used to be :D

1. Avenged Sevenfold. used to be a great band, then when they released City of Evil I lost all faith in them.

2. Atreyu, same situation as A7X, their first 3 albums were great then Lead Sails (A Paper Anchor) was just...horrible.

3. Eminem, his older stuff was sheer brilliance, I have no idea what happened.

Metallica without a doubt has been on a decline in the past years and Guns and rose's last album was incredibly disappointing.

I was a huge fan of Shinedown after their first CD. Second was okay, then the third released, with 3 new members, and was fucking terrible. Just way too mainstream, sounded nicklebackey. Huge letdown, because their first CD just seemed so raw.

1) Cage the Elephant. INCREDIBLE first album; boring, bland, and altogether dull second album. Can't say they might not be better again in the future.
2) Weezer. Never been particularly great, but they had some good songs. Emphasis on "had."
3) Postal Service. because they have not released another album. and that is not as good as before, when they released an album and it blew my freakin' mind.

I pretty much agree with this. I saw them in concert after the first CD was released and I remember them being so amazing. But then after the first CD, something in it was lost. It just didn't have that same feeling that the first one did. And the third one was so far from the first one that it was painful and I lost all faith in them... Such a shame..

Dream Theater. Not That I think their newer stuff is bad, far from it. It's just not as interesting as the older stuff (everything before Train of Thought, but I liked that album too)

I'm gonna jump on the Guns'n'Roses train. Chinese democracy just wasn't good. It was weird, it wasn't that I thought it sounded bad, it just wasn't good and it certainly wasn't what GNR are supposed to sound like.
I will say I enjoyed Slash's latest album.

Eminem is the only one I can think of that is fair. I don't expect a band to maintain the same quality over 25 or 30 years.

Guns 'n Roses for sure. Axl's the only member left, and he doesn't even sound like he used to. It's like a bad cover band up there doing it, and it needs to stop. Axl either needs to reconcile with the other members and thin up, or just let GnR die off entirely, fade into the annals of history with more good than bad in their discography.

I disagree. Death Magnetic was every bit as awesome as any of their past works.
Well I think it's a given that GnR has declined significantly. It's only Axl now. Nobody from the original band had anything to do with "Chinese Democracy" which was essentially the Duke Nukem Forever of the music industry (in both production time and quality)

And I think that Metallica has been on a decline since "...And Justice For All" but that's just me. Also, they stole Dave Mustane's music for their initial album "Kill 'Em All" so I don't put much faith in their musical stock...

Aw, how sad. :/ I think I have to disagree with you on Avenged Sevenfold and Metallica, but opinions are opinions. I'm not as big of a Metallica fan as I am A7X, and I thought the Nightmare album was absolutely brilliant. Sad Jimmy couldn't have been the one recorded on it, but it's still amazing.

Anyways, I'd have to say Linkin Park. Sorry, but I don't like the new sound they have. I like the old Linkin Park better, even if their lyrics were all "whiny and depressing." I just liked the way that sound better. This new stuff they're doing doesn't sound like Linkin Park at all to me.

Mindless Self Indulgence has been on a major decline since they released Frankenstein Girls. You'll Rebel Against Anything was OK.....the follow-up album sucked hard.

As much as it pains me, GWAR has been on a decline as well. Ever since "We Kill Everything" they sort of gave up on the "comical metal" and then went into "metal metal" which I don't think suits them as well. Their latest album "Blood Bath and Beyond" blows except for the final song which is actually a live tribute to their first album "Hell-o" (minus a song or two).

That pains me the most when my all time favorite band begins to turn....

Red Hot Chili Peppers with the change of guitarist from John Frusciante to Josh Klinghoffer some of the creative process was bound to be different but also the backing vocals are mostly gone : /

I would have said Rise Against, but their latest album, Endgame, is better than Appeal to Reason, in my opinion. It gives me some hope.

Also I am still sad that Innerpartysystem is on an indefinite hiatus.

As for my answer I will go with My Chemical Romance. Their latest album just wasn't that great in my opinion. I like a couple of the songs though.

Radiohead
They're still brilliant, but I can't help this feeling that ever since "In Rainbows" its been a slowly sinking ship, and King of Limbs really didn't do anything to change that opinion.
