In the "All In" level in COD4, there is part where you have to take out two tanks. Instead of sneaking up to them and planting C4 on them, there is an out of the way javelin you can use to blow them up from afar.

Using the C4 wasn't that hard anyway. Sprint + smoke grenade + sprint back to cover = win.

The Lifa Tree in FF9.

There's a huge build up, with all the characters acting like, "this is thing that makes all the monsters and is the cause of all the hurt in the world".

Then it comes to the fight, phoenix down + one pathetic attack from Ekko. Dead.

A lot of battles in the Half-life series you can run away from, or run through. Especially when there's 2 enemy factions duking it out between themselves (e.g. army vs aliens in HL1) and you can dodge through without engaging anyone.

Even some of the bigger enemies I found could be taken down (or wounded to the point of being easy) by an accompanying NPC - Barney's magnum is a handy little gun.

If you can call the hunters in halo bosses then yeah them. Three sniper shots the the neck and they are down.

Or most bosses in DMC3. How I love the trickster style.

I thought pretty much every boss battle in Final Fantasy X to be laughable once I figured out that before every boss there is a save point that restores you to full HP and MP, and near that save point is an infested field or road or boat or coffee shop you can farm until your eyes bleed. So, if I walked into a boss battle that handed me my ass, I just loaded my game, built up every character and summon to Overdrive and then unleashed them all in sequence, barely having to stop to heal.

Let's not forget the greatest example of all time: Altered Beast.

Remember the dragon level, where the end boss is the giant pod of eyes? Remember how much of a ***** it is to have to fight that thing if you're not in exactly the right spot? Of course not, because EVERYBODY knew where "exactly the right spot" was, because it was right in front of it, using your attack that shields you from and destroys everything around you. The boss can always be beaten inside of 3 seconds, unless you're NOT in "exactly the right spot."

Ninja Gaiden 2, the giant green worm boss in the tunnel, all you need to do is stand in a side cavern and shoot him with your bow as he goes by. Easy as hell.

I didn't know you could do that. I just put on the phoenix nimpo and used the ultimate technique with the scythe. Your way sounds alot easer.

Most of the targets in assassins creed just run up to them and stab in the eye then run like hell.

One from Super Metroid:

DRAYGON (The Boss of Maridia): Draygon is a pain if you try to defeat him the normal way. But there's a secret method to defeat him quickly and easily. A word of caution: Make sure Samus has plenty of energy before attempting this move, as it drains a lot from her in a short period of time.

1) Eliminate all the "cannons" on the sides of the room so that they're all sparking electricity
2) Switch to the Grappling Beam
3) Allow Draygon to grab Samus and carry her around
4) Keep trying to fire the Grappling Beam at the destroyed cannons on the wall
5) Once the Grappling Beam connects with a destroyed cannon, hold it there. Draygon will be fried in a matter of seconds. However, it drains quite a bit of Samus' energy as well.

I'd already turned Marche into a Thief in Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, so the 1v1 fight with an invincible Llednar was a cinch: Steal:Weapon. Steal:Armor. Steal:Helm. Run away for 2 turns.

I found out that in Assassin's Creed you can beat the master within five seconds.
Instead of attacking him and letting him teleport all over the place; just select hidden blade, when the battle starts grab him, throw him to the ground, and assassinate him.

Master: MWAHAHAHAHA- *gets thrown to the ground*
Altiar: *stabs the Master*
Master: The student is not supposed to defeat the master.
Altiar: It took five seconds. I hardly call you a "master".
Wait, wasn't that what you were supposed to do? Countering with the hidden blade kills everyone. Kind of weird that they give you the ultimate weapon after half an hour, but hey.
Well in my game he never attacked me. All he would do is just stand there until I attacked him, counter, kick me to the ground, and teleport to the other end of the courtyard thing.

But about the third time I beat the game (yes I've replayed Assassin's Creed but shut up because I don't care) The battle had just started less then a second ago and I just decided to through him to the ground thinking he would teleport away but I wouldn't have to lose any health. He didn't teleport so I switched to hidden blade and killed him.

To be fair, that's kinda the point of the game.
Yes that is the point. It is infact one of the three rules. Hide in plain sight, do not call attention to yourself before you strike.

In GTA IV, there is a mission where you have to kill a laywer at his desk. After doing so you are normally expected to fight a bunch of people outside, all with quite decent weapons... It makes for a decent gun-fight for certain and will certainly kill you a few times resulting in utter frustration.
Or...
You can just jump out of the window in his office falling safely to the street below taking minimul damage - Much better XD!

IN Ninja Gaiden 2, just lay into any of the Greater Fiends like there's no tomorrow. Forget patterns and just slash away.

Any of the female bosses in MGS4. Alternate thermal goggles with Ration. Shoot them, hide, repeat.
The End in MGS3, where you can switch the machine off, wait 2 weeks, and he's died the next time you've switched the machine on.

GTA4:
When you are on the mission to kill Playboy X, I notice that he stays put just outside on the balcony when you're dealing with the other guys just after the cutscene. So I just lobbed a grenade out there and killed him instead of dealing with the others, walking outside and chasing him like I attempted to do the first time I tried the mission.
