Hello Escapees, Just wondering what books you guys and girls are reading right now?

I finished off the third Horus Heresy book the other day and decided to take a break from it, so I picked up The Road and am totally loving it, depressing but awesome at the same time.

Teh Assassin's Creed one you lent me. Forgotten the title. Just like staring at the cover tbh =]

It basically follows the storyline of the second game but done very well, unlike some game books.

Atlus shrugged, but I've kind of been distracted from it so haven't been making much progress. I need a shorter, less drawn out and slow book to read.

Well I finished the forteenth Horus Heresy (it was really well written and I loved it to bits btw) and I'm now reading The Kite Runner. Amazingly, Lorgar endeered me more than these characters ever could. But that probably because I relate to him a frightening amount without the boon of being superhuman and with a legion of Astartes at my disposal.

Currently it's Dead Beat by Jim Butcher. The 7th book of The Dresden Files. Been working my way through the series again.

The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, the English translation of the first book in the Millenium series by Swedish author Stieg Larsson.
Tragically he died before he could see his manuscripts published and become the worldwide success they are today.

You Don't Have To Be Evil To Work Here But It Helps by Tom Holt.
Not the most serious or well-written book, but good for distracting me from my big pile of revision.

Zombie Apocalypse. It was in the best seller spot when I popped into WHSmiths and since it said 'zombie' by my own OCDic law I had to buy it. It's different in the sense the story isn't told like a story, it's all written in emails, newspaper clippings, letters and text messages and it's unfolding through loads of different peoples tellings.

Edit: Oh and the Zombie Survival Guide.

Just finished the 4th book in a Song of Fire and Ice, A Feast for Crows

Now I'm reading my CPA exam study books if that counts? Also getting ready to start a new series with the first book being Gardens of the Moon.

I love that book, I prefer World War Z though. Survival guide provides fun, World War Z provides terror.

I'm reading the novel Song of Solomon by Toni Morrison. I'm not really sure how to describe it but it's incredibly well written and engaging.
