I'm a real bookworm, always looking for a new world to lose myself in, but I'm having trouble finding a real attention grabber right now. The last REALLY good book I read was The Desert Spear, the most recent book from the Demon War by Peter V. Brett. I then tried to attempt a non-scifi/fantasy book called Adrenaline by Jeff Abbot, I haven't finished it but it just isn't keeping my attention like a scifi/fantasy.
I'm just wondering, what are you reading right now? Who's it by?

Well, if you haven't already read all of them, go and read the entire Hitchhiker's Guide series, including the new one And Another Thing. As for me, it's not really a 'book' in the sense of a story, but The Geek's Guide To World Domination has a lot of interesting stuff in it.

I'm currently reading the Alex Cross series of books by James Patterson. I find it has an action-packed murder-mystery story which I love, and some of the psychopaths that the main character comes up against are so insane but yet so real.

I'd give it a look if I were you. There's currently 16 in the series, so if you like them, you'll be set for a while.

Just finished reading cold granite and dying light by Stuart Macbride there awesome :). Both books are about a detective Sargent called Logan McRea. The first ones about a child molester and the second ones about a string of prostitutes being abducted and beaten to death, there very good. :)

Cloudstreet by Tim Winton.

...for year 12 HSC.
I have heard that is one of the most boring books ever written.

Have you read the big bad wolf yet?
That's a great book but the way it ends is annoying as hell xD

Read anything by James Clavell(non sci-fi).Ever since I read Shogun I can't stop.

Right now I started Changi/King Rat(inspired by his time as a prisoner near Singapore,in WW2).Amazing stuff, the first thing he's ever published altough if you want to read the asian saga you'll start with Shogun,it's his most famous novel and the first in his universe's timeline.

My Father, the Captain: My Life With Jacques Cousteau by Jean-Michel Cousteau

I usually read non-fiction, so I'm not really one to suggest sci-fi other than titles/authors that most people always recommend anyway. =/

Beyond the Shadows by Brent Weeks. Think Assassins Creed.

It's the last book of the Night Angel Trilogy, and I've nearly finished it. Amazing books!

I've read and own all of those, they are in my top 5 favourite series of all time, he writes fight scenes so well, and really captures the emotion of it. :) Good choice!
