What book are you reading right now?

I've just finished exams so I have had the time to read lately, other than text books and lecture notes, but I am planning on reading "Neuromancer" by William Gibson and "The witch on the Doorstep and other short stories" by H.P Lovecraft (I have read the Lovecraft short stories a hell of a lot though.)

I recently finished 'The Liar', by Stephen Fry. I'm now halfway through 'The Dice Man', by Luke Rhinehart.

Beyond the Shadows by Brent Weeks. Think Assassins Creed.

It's the last book of the Night Angel Trilogy, and I've nearly finished it. Amazing books!

This, and The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo.

As a Swede, I feel so happy hearing that a Brit is interested in our books!

It's a fantastic book, put my pre-order in for the Blu Ray release as well. Although I will not watch it until I finish the book!

Smart move. In fact, you should follow my advice and not watch it until you've read the second book as well. There's a minor (well, for a given value of minor) spoiler about Lisbeth's childhood. It's not like they're revealing some Big Secret or anything, but I still wish I'd read the second book before I watched the first movie.

I'm re-reading a 600 pages book for my literature exam, which is tomorrow at 9:30.

Am I fucked? Not so, I started yesterday and I'm almost finished. Skillz indeed

Pssshf! took me about 4 days to read a 1200 page epic the other week (pillars of the earth, check it out) and i had the exams comin up. last 1 tomorrow actually, but its forth years enviornmental studies so i and most people arent really bovered

Yeah I read that too some time ago, and it was great. I had my exam today and aced it effortlessly. Now to chill

But I agree, it is not as good as I expected it to be. That'll teach me buying a book just because it's considered classic literature with more zombies...

Yeah. That's also why I stayed away from "Sense And Sensibility and Sea Monsters".

It is a bunch of King short stories. It is pretty good, and it has a nice combination of funny horror and serious horror.

I was reading, The Name of the Wind and Cyrano de Bergerac, but I finished both of them (the latter is a play, actually.). They were both amazing, with The Name of the Wind having a quote that I will always remember.

I'm reading Xenocide by Orson Scott Card, a good SiFi book with lots of twists and more spaceflight and aliens than Mass Effect, but this is one of the last of his books in the series so if you interested start with Ender's Game.

I would reccomend "Ender's Game" to ANYONE. So beautifully written.


I'm currently reading it's partner novel "Ender's Shadow", both by Orson Scott Card.

I'm assuming you've seen the movie too? That book is good but strange huh, it differs a bit in some areas from the film although I liked it overall.

Though I've started about a few other books that I haven't managed to finish yet. I've also been enjoying the Vampire Files [http://www.vampwriter.com/ESCOTT'S%20OFFICE.htm] (detective/mystery-murder/fantasy) by P. N. Elrod.

I'm reading Clockwork Orange right now. Got a lot on my list right now, but next I think will be 1984 or Fight Club. Clockwork is fantastic, but I'm kind of rushing through so I can watch the movie haha.
