I liked the black prism, it was a good book, not quite up to the night angel standard, but I'm interested to see where it leads. I can't wait until the next one comes out.
I need to read it again after giving it space from Night Angel stuff. Its unfair to compare them, but I can't help it.

They should make some arsene lupin movies, or a series. (i know some have been made, but they've been mostly shit, with the exception of the anime "lupin the third") would love a sanbox arsene lupin game also. : p

Then you might want to read it just before the new one comes out so you have some space between it and the novella.
The magic system was pretty unique and that made it really enjoyable just in a sense of seeing what he would do with it.

the redemption of althalus as a turn based rpg. or any of the jack west jr books by matthew reily as uncharted-esque games
*goes into paroxysms*

Redemption of Althalus? Are you kidding? That's got to be one of the most disappointing fantasy novels of all time - the only book I've ever stopped reading four pages from the end in the realisation that there was nothing, nothing that it could give me that would justify the hours I'd wasted wading through it.

David Eddings wrote one excellent sequence of books*, a reasonably diverting follow-up series, and an increasingly awful pile of dross. I blame his wife - the more credit she got, the worse the books became.

* Well, it was fantastic in a light, easy reading sense. It's not like it was profound or nuffin'.

If I had to nominate a fantasy series that would make a good movie, I'd probably go for Mordant's Need by Stephen Donaldson - a good blend of fun action, plot and character development, and with reasonably sensible character names for once. And yes, I think it'd be a great game too.

Ender's Game.
It would make such an epic video game, and a movie as well.
Absolutely - unfortunately it's been in development hell for decades.

the wheel of time series, although it would need a LOT of movies O.O
This. (ninjad!:p)
At thirteen books already and the last one to go, it's a huge serie.

There has already been a game made based on it loosely. However I'd definetly pay money to see it on the big screen, similiar to the size of Lord of the Ring, making it a Triology at least.

I'm gonna throw some other series out there that I loved, and would be great TV/Movies: The Sirantha Jax books by Ann Aguire, The Weather Warden books by Rachel Caine, and the Codex Alera books by Jim Butcher.

And yes, more space between Weeks readings.

Michael Moorcocks epic Elric Saga. Pure and simple - a tale about a man out to get revenge, damn his own race ,slaugter a few deities and bring about the apocalypse.

Other then that, I wish somebody with 2 braincells would make a decent Warhammer 40k movie or series. BSG proved people can handle deep thoughts wrapped in a sci-fi universe - so get on it and show us how a universe feels like when 'there is only war'....

Night Angel Trilogy would make the best movies, but they could be messed up so easily as it would definitely need an R rating to do the books justice

A Warhammer movie is needed, Hours Rising would be a perfect start and the franchise is endless as they can they go into the fantasy genre

well yeah, his books were never the most out there fantasy, very basic and generic but it think that's why it would fit so well into being made into a game.
it sure made alot more sense than anything else on my book shelf for 'turn into game material'. unless maybe you could hammer out a game from gormenghast

Maybe Night Angel could be the next great HBO series. Game of Thrones and Night Angel Sunday! All the blood, sex and assassinations you can handle!

Ender's Game
Bartimaeus Trilogy
Mistborn Trilogy
Malazan Book of the Fallen (not really because they would have to butcher the hell out of it to make it acceptable for TV)
So so many more...

None. None at all. Ok, I'll admit in a perfect world I'd love the Matthew Reilly books to be adapted (as movies) properly, which is maybe happening, or was, or will be I don't know. Studios have the rights to a few of his books, nothing much has happened yet. It could actually work, Reilly has pretty much promised he'll be on set keeping an eye on things.

Pretending they'd be done well, I'd love to see movie adaptations of a lot of things, the Skulduggery Pleasant books by Derek Landy, the Bartimaeus books, the Keys To The Kingdom series and the Old Kingdom trilogy by Garth Nix, some Dean Koontz books (apparently Odd Thomas is being done, with Koontz keeping a very close eye on it, since he's had some awful experiences with movie adaptations), any Tamora Pierce books, the Alex Rider books and The Power Of Five books, oh, either series by Darren Shan would be awesome and of course redo the Eragon movie.
There's more, I'll just stop here.

Such a thought made me smile. :) Yeah a guess a series would be better as it will allow for a lot more stroy and detail.

There is a lot of detail in that book too. I can't think of a single thing that could be cut out with out majorly affecting another party of the book.

Dragon Weather and its sequels.

Great, adult orientated fantasy trilogy. I'd recommend it anyway.

Jonathan Littell's The Kindly Ones could be better than Schindler's List if done properly.
Mogworld could make a cool movie, but Yahtzee would surely never allow it.
