what brought you to the escapist?

A friend told me about a news article here, and I started coming back every so often. I didn't make an account until half a year later, at minimum.

I was looking for a review of Devil May Cry 4, I think, and found the Zero Punctuation episode of it.

Like many others have said, I first heard of The Escapist when a friend referred me to Zero Punctuation.

I found Yahtzee's review of Bioshock while searching for things about Bioshock. I didn't even know who he was at the time, I just wanted to watch a review.

Zero Punctuation for the Orange Box. Oddly enough, I lost this site after that for well over a year but found my way back and stayed for everything else on the site; only recently started posting in the forums, too.

From what I remember, I was watching X-Play and they showed a video from when Yahtzee was still on YouTube, I had no idea what it was at the time, but I was interested.

Then, one day I was on YouTube, watching videos and such and I happened upon the other videos he has on YouTube. I can't remember exactly what happened after that, but my mind tells me that I found a link on his user channel. I lurked for awhile, made an account (Germinator, though that remained inactive for so long that it got deleted), lurked more, made this account, and here I am.

I saw a ZP review on G4, then I saw what was happening during March Mayhem. I couldn't let Zynga win...

But I'm glad that I joined the forums, which is by far my favorite part of this site.

Just like everybody else, I first came to the site for Zero Punctuation. I made an account to try out Genre Wars, but didn't dig it so I forgot about the site.

Then, a few months later, I dug the website out of my history and checked out the forums, and never looked back.
