... but leaving an angry, eyeless Philippa with the control of a dragon doesn't seem like a very good idea.
Was Philippa evil though? I don't remember her exact objectives or motivations, but she seemed to be more of an ends-justify-means sort of lady rather than outright bad.
Saving Triss seems like the "neutral" path because you're eschewing politics and going after your friend/lover instead of getting involved.
Ya, that was basically my attitude. "I'm not the least bit interested in your empires and schemes, so I'm gonna grab Little Miss T&A and get the hell outa here."
In retrospect, I'm glad it gave me a neutral type option. Would like to see more games do that.
The beautiful thing is that no characters in The Witcher 2 can really been seen as good or evil!! Except maybe Saskia who's pure good, and Dethmold who can be nothing but complete evil. The Nilfgaardian ambassador is pretty evil too.
Philippa wasn't evil but considering she's a powerful sorceress who's just got her eyes cut out, she's going to be pissed off. Having a powerful Dragon at her command isn't ideal, she's going to seek vengeance in some way probably.
I loved having the neutral option, my "canon" Geralt is neutral, he went neutral in TW1 (somehow, I'm not sure how, I thought I was more friendly to Yaevinn) but yeah, played that through. I only care about Dandelion, Zoltan, Triss, my fellow Witchers, and to an extent Roche.

Oh yeah Sile, I let her live, I didn't know if the megascope would explode and kill me.
