What Class Do You Play In MMO's?

I'm usually a mage. There's something satisfying about using the elements of nature to do mass damage to a giant monster from very far away so when I run out of mp I can quickly use a potion before it can even get within my zip code.

I generally play a healer ( I dont PVP very often so keep in mind these are PVE preferences ). Priest/White Mage/Paladin. But my 2nd choice is usually a Mage/Black Mage/etc. I love being needed to keep people alive, It's just a personal thing I guess. As for Offensive mage, There's nothing better than sitting in the back dropping massive spells and wrecking faces.

If you're gonna do massive damage, might as well make it look cool. And nothing says cool like fireballs raining from the sky. I like being a mage-type. High damage, and you can hide safely behind a tank.

Generally a tank or mage

Tank since everyone seems to be in the mindset that high damage is the only way to have fun and I tend to have a good protective attitude to teammates in games like that. Also I enjoy being a crazy bastard who jumps in headfirst with no regards to my health level sometimes.

Mage because there's always a lot of knowing when to use X ability and you have to keep note of cooldowns etc. Just a lot more fun than an auto attack to win class

in WoW my main is a paladin because it means i can heal, dps and tank

I've always played a warrior. Preferably only as damage but I put on my tank pants when I'm needed. Melee is my thing, casters bore me.

I like playing classes that mix magic and melee combat, so usually a paladin or something similar. Being an Arcane Warrior in DA:O is a good example.

I play physical fighters mostly. In WoW I've got a Retridin and I'm currently levelling a Fury Warrior, and I enjoy both very much. When I play with friends however, I'm usually demoted to team doctor. I play a medic in Global Agenda and a cleric in DDO. I'm not a healbot however, battle medic is the only way to go!

Im a tank, im too impatient to wait for the rest of the team to start and so I like to lead the charge and then wait for the team to dig me out of the mob.

I'm usually ranged, preferably a caster. While I was still playing WoW, I switched between ranged dps as an Elemental Shaman and healer as a Discipline Priest.

I don't mind tanking, though. In fact, when I first started playing WoW, I played a Feral Tank.

I'm a bit of a jack of all trades, I suppose. But I'm terrible at melee dps.

Even though they're MMO's, I like to play classes that can hold their own when soloing; Self heals are always a plus.
So, I usually play Ranged or DPS; Rangers and/or Monks, depending on the MMO.

The nimble type, preferably with quick attack speed and massive critical hit percentage. Which is typically thief, rogue, assassin, ninja, etc...
