High DPS usually. I love a good glass cannon. This means I'm usually some sort of mage. I actually really like melee dps if it's done well, but I don't like typical rogue classes that are usually offered. Herald of Xotli was super fun when I played AoC, probably my favorite class still, even if the game failed.

Ranger/Hunter/Archer. I like being able to attack from a distance and I like bows. Steathly classes are also good.

Assasin/Rogue/dual-wielding, stealth-using, backstabbing son-of-a-*****. Just the satisfaction of that instant-nuke-skill attack.

Well I play City of Heroes so the classes are a little different. Anyways I'm a Blaster in the game which are long range high damage dealers with low defense and medium hit points.

I am usually a mage. I just love being able to do massive ammounts of damage from far away, and than have the ease of using many abilities at my disposal to get away if needed. Been playing one for 5 years on WoW and still loving it.

I prefer hybrid classes, but not jack-of-all-trades. So Healer/Tank hybrid, Tank/DPS hybrid or DPS/Healer hybrid. In WoW, my main was a Shaman. During my Rift Trial, I was conveniently also a Shaman, or at least that was what I put most of my points into.

But I'm probably best as a tank. I'm good at aggro management. Holding it, getting some random mob off the healer, etc. I was more known for my healing, though, I was that weird Shaman that simply mastered the art no matter what spec I was running at the time, was more useful than the Priests. My guild loved having me on call for a random Outlands dungeon.

I like playing classes that mix magic and melee combat, so usually a paladin or something similar. Being an Arcane Warrior in DA:O is a good example.
Pretty much this, two favorite Classes in wow are death knight, and enhancement shaman.

I'll play whatever is necessary to make the team function properly. If I'm playing solo some kind of warrior type class.

In general, the kind of class were you can have more than one specialty. Such as, a mage that can use black and white magic, or a ranger that has abilities set in both melee and range.

I haven't played an MMORPG in over 3 years, but most of my characters were probably mages like in my currently played action-RPGs.

I usually play the warrior. There's a constant niggle in my brain whenever I don't have the armor and weapons with the highest damage and protection possible for my level. I also feel like I'm playing the game sub-optimally when I'm stuck on cloth level armor and am unable to wear the full plate armor.

Always start off with a A Tank, which would be either a Paladin or Warrior, then do some DPS characters which are shamans or rogues

I enjoy sitting back and filling my enemies with as many arrows and/or bullets as humanly possibly. Flinging spells isn't bad either, but generally up close and personal isn't my style.

Generally I play either the healbot or a Jack of All Trades/Master of None type character...preferably with some healing access. I usually favor support or leadership rolls over pure beatdown ability.

Mainly healers, but if I'm DPS, it's mostly ranged dps. I like to think that I'm able to see more of the game at range.
